Esp for those people that are looking at Dell notebooks (AND PC'S) but think they are too expensive to buy compared to an Acer.. this is perfect for you..

They will match the price of any other notebook (frm multinational companies of coz) in the market if u can find a dell system with the same specs! thumbup.gif blink.gif

RM100 DellTM PRICE CHALLENGE

If you can find a lower advertised price for a system of the same specification and configuration as a DellTM DimensionTM Desktop, DellTM InspironTM Notebook or DellTM PowerEdgeTM Server currently available and quoted by Dell from selected major multi-national vendors, we will better their price by RM100. Valid until 1 October, 2004.

Link Here!

I've already Price Matched a Dell 8600 with a Acer Aspire 1681WLCi
Can get a Dell 8600 for RM5300 (Without DVD Burner of coz)
Too bad they took the config page for the Dell 8600 off the web rite after I called vmad.gif
[Correction Dell has just updated the price of the Dell 8600.. Now its pretty cheap for such a good notebook! Nice drool.gif ]

If you feel that this has helped u so much and I need to thank me. Feel free to bank in RM 50 into my bank account! tongue.gif lolz Just PM me

from the resaerch i did when buying a laptop for my bro i mayb very very wrong jus my opinion

best bang for buck acer's specs remain the most value for money while the pretty ones which burn a hole n does not perform on par for wat u pay is ftec, targa those local brands

best notebook fujitsu return rate almost 0 to all the shops i went n ask midvally sg wang lyp sunway fujitsu retun rate is the lowest but the price u pay is indredible the performance is still the best

best customer service is still toshiba frens toshiba notebook bought after 3 weeks the combo hada prob came next day n changed one within 24 hours, then the speakers had a prob within 48 hours no prob already

best notebook to die on u twinhead 2 frens bought them both of them died within a month ask shop also say twinhead alot of prob another brand is hp ones also lots of shop say prob banyak

hard to find spare parts note book-nec specs, looks, performance is good but if any part rosak the time u wait for the parts to hav stock u die in the process

best notebook for clumzy ppl IBM titanium casing n hdd shock detectror if u r a clumsy elepahnt u know who u r get this how u use it also still can survive

other brands dell, sony, clevo, bla bla bla r sumwhere in between sony fujitsu is definately out of budget dell specs r nice but can only buy online so din c thme

really detail but messy ler, thx for sharing.

for acer, their latest 'folio' design is really eye candy, especially the TM 3200 model. The curve is very nice. spec consider reasonable for business or even IT students. It has ATI M11 onboard with centrino 715 n 60gb hdd however it cost 5.9k

for normal use, AS 1681wlci would b the best choice. at 5.3k u get roughly the same spec as the 3200 but with a larger casing due to the larger screen.

if under budget, TM4001 series will b the best.. as recommended by a fren, get 4001LCI_M11P coz the normal 4001 comes with intel extreme graphic whereas the M11P comes with ATI M11(mobile rad 9700). this all at the price of 4.8k

considering the paper spec, acer models seems to hv a better balance of price n wat u get. there're other brands which offers slightly more at about 100 or 200 more, but... the built quality n brand-name confidence is another issue.

i try so many brand b4, if look for reliability, choose IBM or Toshiba. If look for cool outlook, choose apple or fujitsu, but really depend on your budget! thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
