using acer aspire 2012wlci for quite sometime now ....
performance is great for me ...
is a good buy i would say ...

Heylo there! I've just recently discovered this awesome forum! Anyways, I'm planning to buy a laptop for my college uses. I will mainly use it for Photoshop, and a lil' bit of gaming. Which laptop should I buy? My budget is less than RM8K..
Also, can anybody tell me what's the advantage of VRAM? Thankies! |

acer travelmate 8003 Lci.. IMHO quite a power laptop for RM 7688...

i have 4 choice here. Toshiba Satellite M30-731, Acer Aspire 2012WLCi, and Compaq Presario X1316, HP Compaq NX7010(1.7). I'm using it for my collage work (multimedia design) and sure, gaming.

y not get the travelmate 8003Lci.. it has the 128mb 9700.. n also 60GB HHD compare to aspire 2012 which has 40gb HDD n also a 64mb 9700....

I wan XP Pro... dun wan home edition. (if the Acer 2012WLCi come wit Pro, then ok~)
em... actually i looking forward for a toshiba machine. Satellite M30-731. The speakers extreamly nice...... Very wide screen wit some sort of clear screen technology. Any CONS to Toshiba's machines? I was bringing my sister to buy compaq notebook. Lastly my sister bought from other shop. Some more, your sales person talk like we know nothing about notebook. |

well...how bout 8003Lci it comes wif xp pro and also a 128MB Mob raddy 9700. or the ferarri 3200 which coes with the AMD 64Bit mobile processor and also 128MB Mob raddy 9700. but it's at a great price too  roughly rm7.5K++ toshiba m30-731? well... specwise is ok, comes with NVIDIA GeForce FX Go 5200 64MB VRAM, Xp Pro and 60GB. cons? they are abit pricey. pros? they live up to the name/brand perhaps?if u r interested in the compaq presario x1316 and the nx7010 i think u have to stick with nx7010 coz presario x1316 is only windows XP home. both comes with a 64MB mob raddy 9200. but presario x1316 comes with a DVD/R+W while nx7010 is only a combo drive. cheers. just my 2cents This post has been edited by 8431: Jul 5 2004, 01:21 PM |
