hi, this is for my fren at melaka, he seems doesnt know much bout buying a new laptop/2nd laptop, so, mine oso knows a little , his budget is rm3500, paling mahal pun around rm4k, he kinda use for his project (he's taking electrical engineering) n playing some games (let say underground, generals very smoothly), he also mention he expected, he should get a pentium4 (2.6ghz >), 40gb hdd... so, wat do u guys say?

Acer seems to be a famous brand in singapore, or at least in HWZ. I wonder why .... Hate acer.

If there is a model cheaper than that with the same specs, I wouldn't recommend anyone to get, probably only taiwan brands can offer anything cheaper than that.

If not mistaken the default price for presario x series is less than rm6k, but forgot whether it's centrino 1.4 or 1.5.

i'm thinking of buying the acer ferrari 3000LMi, but after reading this thread n how some of u describe acer as a lousy brand i'm not quite sure wheter i should buy it or not.
