i reccomended you to buy toshiba...since i'm using the same model...a10..

toshiba is faster and more stable...plus the chasis is quiite strong too...
only the A10 lacking off is...it doesn't have Ir PORT , firewire and serial port..

My friend is using hyundai...and his laptop keep shutting down itself...mebbe becos of overheating..or the heatsink is not installed properly to the processor...
and the hyundai quite slow compared to my laptop...

his laptop is p4 2.5Ghz desktop processor...and the fan also quite loud...

my advice is..buy laptop according to its brand....not for its specs...

or u can buy SOTEC laptop...
it's imported from japan...and i heard it's quite good too..plus the price is quite cheap...

view from the thread...

buying a notebook is ALL about buying a brand?
then, its sad to say u have fall prey to a marketting scheme tongue.gif laugh.gif

fujitsu: yeah sure they are nice, but expensive for the specs they offer. (we are talkin bout the expensive models here, the lower-end specs, hehe same with other brands only)
toshiba: lebih kurang sama (but their CSV-enabled series quite nice)
ibm: isn't it the time for another new design? tongue.gif (yeah they are solid and sturdy)
acer: the new line of laptops with mob 9700 (When it comes to price....Acer is downright cheap for branded notebooks) brows.gif

lets say ur fren is looking for a notebook with discrete and powerful graphics, and his budget line is so and so, dun tell me u gonna recommend "Fujitsu rocks as Alwiz" even tho it's with shared memory architecture for graphics and the price over his budget? back then laptop with discrete graphic on board is considered premium or high end, now this has change with mid level laptop with the same specs. wat u pay is wat u get, choose wisely.

cheers. just my 2cents. tongue.gif

yeah..yeah i'm fallen into a marketting scheme tongue.gif laugh.gif

but u must remember... notebook is never suitable for graphic workstation...

am i right..? if u want powerful graphic workstation then buy an SGI workstation ..and 21 inch crt..much better right..
why must u waste ur effort and money into tiny power and tiny screen eventhough it has mobility raddy 9700 inside..

notebook is only suitable for spreadsheet, a little game, internet apps..and other lighter apps.. so think wisely..

people buy notebook bcos of its mobility...therefore solid construction of the body is a must.. cool.gif

mana tau ur lcd crack bcos of accident since the back cover of the lcd too flimsy .... who knows.. whistling.gif

if u really want real graphic power with mobility( i don't believe it) then just settle for apple powerbook.. whistling.gif

i didn't say ACER is not good.. i know acer is offering good performance/value...

so it depends on ur budget..if u can afford a high-end toshiba/fujitsu then go ahead...if u cannot then just settle for a good bargain notebook... wink.gif

dun flame me..hehehhe.. tongue.gif

by the way i'm laughing when i'm reading this "Fujitsu rocks as Alwiz"
