There's so many models. I cannot do justification for whole Dell product with 700m. But if you want to buy 700m, go ahead. Quality is good for such a price.

You should able to get a better notebook on your budget.. Just don't get some brand which is bad quality and service like ACER hehehehe If design is not an issues you can get IBM, good quality but bad service

acer's hinge is quite soft and can't last long. about their service, you really have to reconsider once more before buying acer, as their services are quite poor as in, delay in time ,etc.

yet to be known acer notebook quipped with nice specs, other factors are to be reconsidered.

Oh wow, if like that, Acer cannot even survive to the next month since there won't be people buying Acer laptop at all.
But the thing is, Acer will still survive. Why? Because the price is cheap and have high end spec. Well, about the hinge, it has been resolved long time ago. Now laptop won't be having hinge problem.
As for the service, all the brand, even Toshiba, are being critisized. The reason is, there are bound to be few bad people in every company. You have to live with that.
As of now, all the brand of laptop can be considered. Except Twinhead because until now, I haven't heard any good thing about them yet.

don't be so sure about the hinge won't cause any trouble for Acer. you never know your luck. anyway, my cousin bought an Acer 2 months ago, and the set was sent back to the shop for the second time. imagine that,my friend?
