yea i notice now got lots of issue on the sensor. i too sometimes faced this but luckily it didnt effect me much since my last car didnt even have any sensor biggrin.gif

Well yeah my old car didn't have one, but when reversing close suddenly hear a deadline, you also scare right? rclxm9.gif

Taking it in to SC tomorrow to let them see whats wrong or change it.. Cause its now delay + deadline, but since that day, no deadline now.. But still better safe than sorry.

Today I was enjoying my ride at mex, going over 140-160kmh. suddenly got myvi cucuk me from behind sweat.gif of course I gave way, but was wondering how myvi going 160kmh+ feels like. I can confirmed iris feels pretty solid going up to 160kmh. haven't tried going above that, it's still a new car and I'm too scared. my previous ride was kancil lol

anyone replace the orginal key for Iriz before?. The Key case has broken up. The plastic component inside falling apart. I never drop this key, the keycase design material is like shit. My father went to ask for the replacement key from proton, they quote it RM500+ for the key and it is not under warranty cover. Anyone replace the key from third party before? I went to many key maker, they counldn't do it.

is it push to start? push to start is expensive due to sensor. meanwhile the manual key is not that expensive i believe. if your is the manual one then i need to stop drop my key then. i drop it quite a lot

Mine broke both keys and the spare long time ago. Yes, the case design is shit. Stress point hold just by little plastic piece doh.gif

There are times when you about to twist the key to start they stuck since the steering is not properly aligned to locking mechanism (i think), then of course you accidentally use more force that time. This will contribute to braking the key case sooner.

Did drop an epoxy glue at the screw and top gap but on hold in very short time before broke again.
Using rubber band many times but always end up losing it. Even at SC they also use rubberband only when I send for service laugh.gif

Next try I want to put hot glue around the case edge see how it hold.

same problem. yes definitely stupid design. make the key case try to look "high end", but the material is shit.
why dont juz make the key seperated with the remote. charge 500+ for a remote. they think they are BMW or Merz? lol

not at all laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif . the thing is merc and beemer got sensor for unlocking and sensor for unlocking the steering. basically sensor for everything with 1 key. if the sensor not match, it wont start. meanwhile proton....sensor for unlocking only. we still use key. so i think its a bit expensive. 200 is max. but u know how factory item works. they will charge us kaw kaw.

You do realise newer proton cars have immobiliser built in right?

Even the saga flx has a rfid chip in the keys.. without the registered rfid chip, engine does not crank..

u can buy new key fob.. just transplant the rfid chip that comes with the old key into the new one..

Even the first gen myvi has an immobiliser built in the ecu..

Mine replaced due to faulty button. Using spare key now but they wouldnt let me change because still working. Just repaired it since it was semi faulty. The manufacturers admitted to me before during one of the proton shows saying that initial design was faulty and they have fixed it already.

definitely is the design flaws, i'm not sure now. already sent it to fix. now i even tape the spare key.
i dont push the key back to the side anymore since the spare key case also can feel the wobbliness, but now hard to put into pocket shakehead.gif
