It's been over 2 months kot since i ordered warranty claim for switch brake + brake pedal. Still no news till now. Just called them up again to check the status.

2 months for local manufacturer product.

And people still wonder why P1 still in loss.

Quick question,

I saw on Iriz's spare tyre at the back and was surprised with something written there "INFLATE TO 420KPA"

Is this real?
*
It's physics. Smaller tyre = smaller surface area, less weight distribution so need higher pressure force to counter the car weight.

- 'Tikus' sound at dashboard can be ractify, need to go sc and leave your car there
You mentioned the "tikus" sound (its rattling right?) can be rectified. I saw earlier there's some part that can be installed, what is that part actually or if not, how is it rectified?
I sent my car in for its first service a coupe of months back and it stopped for 2-3 days but came back. It's less now but it doesn't seem to be have solved the issue.

QUOTE(lildocker @ Mar 22 2017, 11:32 AM)
Got my Proton Iriz 1.3 cvt in 2015, mileage is approaching 10k. So far, the following problems have been fixed:
- 'Tikus' sound at dashboard
- Child lock not working (on or off, passenger cannot open from inside)
- Fuel smell in the car after pumping

Now, new problems emerged:

- I noticed on a few occasions that my car would jerk when I was slowing down (happened between 20-35 km/h and doesn't happen always)

- Reverse sensor. It seems to work fine but I suspect it's not consistent. Once I bumped into a car at the back during reverse.. the sensor didn't produce any alarm. In this case I'm not sure whether it's the sensor problem, or it was because the car showed up from the lorong abruptly. I was reversing the car pretty slowly.

- Power window problem. I couldn't believe it when my driver side window wouldn't wind up anymore.. never occurred to me that would still happen to a new car model of Proton. I was struggling for at least half an hour including restarting the engine, eventually I had to leave my car there at the office carpark with the window opened (and asked the security guard to look after my car for me). Went to the service center and they sprayed something to the surrounding of the window, and the window could be wound up again. They told me the window has run out of lubricant and this spray may last until next service. Then the next day, I noticed that the window struggled to go up.. and was getting worse the following days. Now I don't wind down the window anymore, I open the door to get/insert ticket. I'm afraid that one of these days it may just decide to die off completely. Any advice, people???

ask them to replace whole window or motor. mine cant wind up, turnt out motor got problem. replaced the motor

Power windows if already lubricate but fail on few day -
1. Trh buy silicone spray for window and spray around the railing aka the window end.
2. If frequently fail, replace motor.

Cvt low speed feel jerking
1. Check tcu/ecu need reflash old not.
2. Hit brake abit.

Petrol smeel in the cabin
1. Ask sc to put sealant
2. Check fuel filter clodge/working/fail etc

I wonder why the motor just stops working after some time.. not receiving sufficient power supply? faulty product? Can it happen again after replacing the motor? And if it's affecting driver window, could it also happen to the other windows ONE day? I seldom carry passengers and use the other windows anyway. This problem really concerns me especially during the rainy season and the issue catches me by surprise.. also the parking I have at home is outdoor.. so it's no difference than saying "Welcome and visit my car" biggrin.gif

During my first service, a couple of months ago, I told the workshop of the problem. They told me they had refitted the dashboard because it was a bit loose and the sound seemed to have gone away. Few days later it came back although it was softer. There was no IP kit used to my knowledge and so I am really trying to find a way to get this problem fixed as soon as possible.

next service call your preferable sc and told them that you want IP kits for your dash. the one that can stop the rattling if they dont know what is IP kits. book your service on weekdays (they wont do it on weekend) and leave your car there for a while (max a week). then check the bills if there is IP kits on it. dunno about the price tho but i think its free

on the slip it stated i need to go back to service center to maintain the car,

1st service - 1st month or 1000km (whichever comes first)
2nd service - 3rd month or 5000km(whichever comes first)

assuming total mileage less than 5k. did 1st service on 27 Jan 2017, for the incoming service do i add another 3 months period(27 April 2017) or it should be 3rd month(27 March 2017) include the existing month?

which one i should follow? 27 April or 27 March? also total mileage is less than 5k, are they gonna change engine oil?

Regardless what oil you use...go back every 6 months or 10,000km whichever earlier.

1st service 1,000km
2nd service 10,000km or 6 months later
3rd service 20,000km or 6 months later
