Based on what I understand from Proton, 1.3 is more fuel saving as the gb for both are of the same settings...if u ask me, for city and highway driving 1.3 will be much more efficient. but 1.6 can be more efficient compare to 1.3 on highway at certain speed. this is due to the capability of the engine ofcourse. 150km/h on 1.3 and 150km/h on 1.6 will have a differences in fc. |

Err.. Isn't that always in the case of FC, the smaller capacity engine is the winner?

hello sifus,
im a 2 mths new owner of IRIZ 2015 1.6 model. I have a doubt on the following questions.. appreciate your feedback ya. 1. Occasionally on the meter display show low battery indicator when im pushing start button. Not every time but occasionally. Is it normal? or its about the time to have it changed? 2. FC, a bit disappointing that the facts the FC recorded (self calculate) just 9.6km/l .. city drive to work every day all the way with heavy traffic. is it considerably fair enough? 3. Auto lock. yes it is auto lock after a distance, but tried to figured out why the door can still open from inside. not just the driver's door but all doors even it is in locked condition. but from outside still cannot open la. Is it by design is like that?? Please enlighten me ans share your thoughts.. tq2 |

QUOTE(albagubra @ Feb 17 2018, 11:56 PM) hello sifus, 1) Whenever my starter cranks up weakly, the meter display would show either "low battery" or "CVT malfunction" symbol. But it isnt the battery, as the problem remains even after I changed to a new battery. I brought it to proton and they find no faults with the starter nor the gearbox either. It's been like this for 3 years now, so I choose to live with it. I think nothing major.im a 2 mths new owner of IRIZ 2015 1.6 model. Doesnt sound right, but some conti cars are like that too. |

It’s one of the safety features of the car. It doesn’t sound right if you are a kidnapper or have malicious intend... |

Hi guys,
My rear-view mirror seems loose, always tilt downwards especially after passing through bumps. Any guide how to tighten it? |

If its a brand new car, petrol consumption would be even higher but will eventually improve. 3. Iriz door is designed to be unlocked by pulling the handle when locked. Pull once, unlock. Pull twice, opens door. Its just like other cars where pulling the locking lever to unlock and pulling the handle to open. Supposed to copy other continental cars. |

QUOTE(albagubra @ Feb 17 2018, 11:56 PM) hello sifus, When we crank our engine, the starter motor will need massive energy to turn the heavy crankshaft by pulling large current from the battery that make its voltage temporarily drop until under 10v in that split seconds.im a 2 mths new owner of IRIZ 2015 1.6 model. I have a doubt on the following questions.. appreciate your feedback ya. 1. Occasionally on the meter display show low battery indicator when im pushing start button. Not every time but occasionally. Is it normal? or its about the time to have it changed? ... My theory is at that brief moment our super sensitive info screen will detect low battery, giving false warning. They should be fine tuned to take longer and consistent reading span before actually popping the warning. |
