What I heard the TCU update is for new IRIZ, old IRIZ does not get updated.
*
either the update involves hardware or they are just plain lazy or money face!

Be persuasive.. Not aggressive..

I juz want the 1.6 engine...
*
lol
i think everyone here want that instead of the current offering

sigh.. in the end, only the gb and engine that prevent iriz for being a perfect car at its price range.

sent my iriz to sc last week to complain about rough idling when cold start, they reflash the ECU. Rough idling stopped, but i noticed one added bonus, the odo display does not switch to next mode after starting the car. They literally debug that thing

Possible to DIY?

I wish there is a better version of the HU, the current version is buggy as hell.
*
i hope to diy but dont thitnk so, only map update is possible.
I am asking because last week service, that proton messed up my HU
I think they flashed the wrong HU firmware to my car, now the sound output gone haywire, sometimes only front speak got output, sometimes back and it sounds like old radio, without any bass.
only restart the unit solve that issue, but will come back after reversing the car. damn proton!
they asked me to go to Juru SC which is very inconvenient to me!

Last Sunday went touge with 3 Irizs. Let there be no doubt about Iriz's handling prowess around the bends. I was driving my Fiesta behind marcus95's blue Iriz while yadea was driving his Iriz behind me. kllam was leading the group in his own Iriz too, and disappeared after a few sharp corners while we desperately tried to catch up  laugh.gif
*
lol
look like you enjoy yourself very much thr
nice to have tauge kaki
me here no kaki, always bring along my human meat traction control with me which usually intervene early and gives out a loud audible alarm. not sure whr to update the firmware to reduce the sensitivity tho

Can use during heavy downpour...better than id*ots using double signal imo...
*
farking hate those idiots!!
one thing i observe typical malaysian driver esp on the north here
double signal when heavy downpour while driving >70-80 kmh, zig zag around
but when car stopping on shoulder or any place that block traffic, using normal signal to give wrong signal that they wanna turn.
those ppl Really need some education on how to drive and use those signal.

and also the trend of using front fog lamp to replace low beam is just pure BS doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif puke.gif puke.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

So I went to tyre shop to check on my steering wiggle issue and was told that my front tyre botak already and the rear tyre left 20%, my car is at 39k km.
Was quoted below price, please advice which one is economic and safe, thanks biggrin.gif

Hankook H308 RM 159
Continental CC6 RM 188.68
Michelin XM2 RM233.20
Toyo RM 180.20

Above is from lim tayar (Authorised proton SC come with alignment and balancing)

Dunlop D05 RM 178.00 from normal tyre shop.

Please advice if I should change 4 tyres at once or can change 2 first.

Anyone experience botak tyre at 40k KM?
*
not sure how long the stock tire last, i switched out mine quite early in the ownership of the car

safe buy would be XM2. but the price is quite steep
it is durable(some reported 80k km with that tire) and grip is enough for everyday use

no comment for the other model

wow ps3 you are out of our league already tongue.gif
*
waiting for you to join my league laugh.gif

anyway, ps3 is really a stickier tire, until now it still throw tiny stones around the tire well, which usually one only experienced it when going thru new road surface where the tar is still sticky. but i could see this piece wear much faster than my XM2. But this is not a direct comparison as iriz is around 200kg heavier than myvi with higher torque. just wish it could last at least 40k km haha.

Anyone still facing this issue;
[attachmentid=8911323]
This is my second key in the 18 months I own my Iriz...
Hopefully CoSE will change it for me under warranty...
*
no but almost similar
mine is plastic 'metal' broke inside, and stucking at the groove of the switch and made the key hard to flip on/off
I managed to fix it by opened it up and remove the broken pieces
I must say this iriz key fob is POS. my bro 1st batch preve has much better quality during the first 1-2 years usage while mine broke in 1 year lol
