Just change my battery with Bateriku.com.

They only have Century brand, RM200. can last 1.5 - 2 years.

overall very satisfied with their service, the abang explains everything.

I think Century is common brand that is more established and can be found at almost any shop.

I am using cheaper RM160 Century wet type for half a year now.

Mine only 14 months.

How you guys manage to keep the battery life so long.

Even proton said stock battery can only last a year.

The battery guy mention about my car alternator reading is low, around 13.5 after light and air cond on.

Does this mean anything?

Amaron, people say normally can last longer. Cons is cost a bit more and normally out of stock.

I don't know how to make it last longer. Some said install grounding cables can help but I dont know if thats true or just bullshit.

What I normally do is 2 step to start engine. Start engine with AC off. When engine is off, try not to leave the air cond blower on. I have my electronics plugged in all the time (dashcam, foot well lights). Foot well lights have a switch and only on at night.

There is nothing to worry about spare parts if you buy a local car.

Noise levels shouldnt differ that much. 1.3 is underpower only when >2 people/heavy load.

Most likely no coz 1.6e is a combi of 1.3e and 1.6p...

I can’t recall anything specific to the 1.6e atm other than the fog lights...

Mine display same value of 13.5 so I think it is normal reading when engine running, the alternator is charging the battery. If it stay at resting voltage (12.x V) means something wrong with your alternator.

Theoretically yes 4 years but a lot of factors comes into play when we talk about efficiency.

Grounding cables if you got many heavy amp drawing stuff installed, such as full ice system. But as new solely new stock car extra grounding is unnecessary.

That battery guy say it is normal for Proton Iriz.

But normally the reading should be 14.0 - 14.5.

Yes mine keep showing 13.5, it should be normal.
It is differ by car model, specifically the alternator unit itself, as some car got powerful charging rating.

My last gen2's reading always at 13.8 so some other car may got higher. but 14.5 considered critically high at the point of risking from overcharging. sweat.gif
