first of all, u eyeing on mt or at version? base line, exec or premium line? 1.3 or 1.6?

i found 2014 Proton Iriz 1.6 (A) exec in mudah which the one im interested with

On youtube, Chrisfix has a 3 or 4 part video on how to buy a second hand car. Maybe u can check that out.

ok 2014 at exec spec is a bargain just that u need to take to SC and get the update for your cvt (if not yet updated).

since u said u not a car guy, mean u dunno how CVT works. i gonna inform u in advance so that u prepare for it.

Proton CVT punch have lag and delay but if u update it, issue will be lesser. to call it issue actually is wrong because the characteristic of cvt punch used by proton is like that. u need some time to handle it. so far no issue from current users.

move along to the car, all Iriz dont have common major problem like gearbox, engine etc. so far so good. just that have minor and small problem like headunit stuck, dashboard rattle and other small problem.

the performance of the car, for the price i say overall its a good car.

handling = good
driving position = good
steering feedback = good
body roll = low
seat = comfortable
NVH = above 80kmh u can start hear wind noise. road noise depend on ur tire brand. vibrate? quite a lot on uneven road.

the bad side of iriz (mine mt version) as far as i know is:

- jerking on cold start
- loud aircond belt noise
- rattling (dunno where the sources)

if u buy cvt, u gonna have cabin noise due to cvt.

honestly, overall its a good car.

checklist is easy. try to sat on few other iriz and compare. dont forget to check for any dent, watermarks too in the engine bay and cabin

Recently every moment I'm on half pressing the clutch on low rpm (1k) at gear 1 or R the car start pulsing until fully release. Is this the sign of clutch pad showing its age or something else?

Body roll, i'd say medium.. definitely not low.. low bodyroll are those Preve and Suprima..

He bought the wrong model, should get 1.6MT and start modify from there haha.
1.6 stock MT already quite powerful. Remove catcon, stroke to 1.8, flash ECU, fuiyoh power. Header remain 4-1 for high rpm powerband enough already haha.

may i know is there big difference in streaming spotify premium songs through bluetooth & aux cable?

Bluetooth sucks.

AUX cable gives the best sound quality.

On 1.6 touchscreen head unit, bluetooth sound quality really bad. AUX is good.

mine is 1.3 exec with the normal radio unit as well, for me all 3 types of music play (Bluetooth, USB, CD, never use AUX since first day i got my car) with the radio unit tells no different in terms of sound quality.

please mind that the quality of the song itself do play a role too if you want the sound quality to be good.

quality might have different but due to the wireless convenient, used bluetooth so far,nv use AUX before,
maybe can try try c and report back.

hmmm..i am using extreme quality in spotify (Equivalent to approximately 320kbit/s.)

just thinking want to buy an aux cable or not, if got no big difference then nvm d.
