When the Buddha and his disciples were begging for alms, they would accept whatever type of food offered to them, including meat, or even spoilt food. Monks were prohibited to cook or grow their own food at that time. They were not allowed to be "picky" or "choosy" when it comes to eating. Food is like medicine to them. That is why Buddha ate meat which was offered to him. Many Buddhists are vegetarians because they want to cultivate compassion. If one can become a vegetarian as a way of practice, that is good. If one is not a vegetarian as a Buddhist, that is not wrong. But many misunderstood why Buddha wasn't a vegetarian, and they use that as an excuse for not becoming a vegetarian 'cuz they just love eating meat

Taoism in a polytheistic religion meaning there is not one single god to worship but a multitude of gods.

The different qualities and attributes of the deities depend on the time of year they are worshipped at various ceremonies.

No need to memorize all of them as that mirrored the Administrative Role on Earth. Just remember those you are familiar & most importantly our Ancestors!

Just for my knowledge, what about beef? Is consumption of beef prohibited in Buddhism?

What about Taoism? I understand many Guanyin followers abstain from beef altogether.

My first visit to SanYuan Palace 廣州三元宮 in Guangzhou, a Taoist Temple above 1,600 years old, shocked me when they offer beef at the restaurant inside the compound.

It seems only popular within Singaporean & Malaysian Chinese community but not the rest.

A Seth Learning Garden follower brought me to a Free session of Body-Mind-Spiritual workshop for Depression Healing. I was impressed with the approach but didn’t pursue further as I’m looking for BiPolar remedy.

Lately, I had many view points differences with this person where I’m not comfortable somewhere but not able to point out clearly. I dig deeper into her belief system & I can’t correlate with Christianity, Buddhism nor Taoism.

I found the root cause after invested much time to understand Seth Body-Mind-Spiritual teachings by Dr Tien-Sheng Hsu.

Thx for your info & I have run through most of it that consistent with my understanding.

I’m greedy for healthier, happier, richer, ....but the Avenue is individual choices.

Some people eat baby flesh for longer life, money game to be richer, Black Magic for happier sex,...at a consequential cost.
