So many poorfag complains here. Already get a cheap fare, you want to slot into everything for free? Its a good move by AA. This will prevent idiots bringing oversized and overweight bags and stuffin it into the overhead compartment and not allowing others to put their bag in there. Theres a reason why they only allow certain kg into the cabin. To prevent the overhead compartment from collapsing. If want everything free, build your own airlines then. Since many abused it, now pay for what you bring. If youre too poor, then dont bring any additional bags if you cant afford it.

Read the TNC next time. They said one laptop bag and one carry bag. Not 2 or 3 laptops. Both combination shouldn't exceed 7KG or you pay for it. Simple. Whenever something is free or cheap, Malaysians will abuse it.

Why so pissed?

Are you a poor malaysian taking airasia or working for airasia?

The pilot have to do a estimation of the passengers and their carry on weight. Airplane have crashed before due to wrongly calculate of estimated weight by the pilot. It is really a safety issue.

If the concern is weight, how is 7 and 10kg going to have any material effect over a 45kg lady and a 120 man?....

I will have no issue with strict hand carry restriction if they set the limit at 10kg....Will not normally carry more than 10kg anyway....Will check in luggage...

The margin of error for a jet like the 320 is not materially affected by that minimal hand carry difference....If really want to be accurate, weigh all passengers, like on the twin otter flights in Borneo....

Not logical lah, the excess weight if cannot be brought into cabin, will be put into the plane jugak at baggage area. So total weights are just the same.

Anyway, how about the weight of the passengers? Fatty and skinny got also. Please note that fatty can reach 100kg easily and skinny around 45kg. That is a vast difference!
