Look at the positive sign, EKVE benefits are as follows:
BENEFITS OF HIGHWAY 1)An effective traffic dispersal network for eastern Kuala Lumpur through direct connectivity to other existing highways e.g. SILK, LEKAS, AKLEH, DUKE and MRR2; 2)Traffic dispersal scheme to ease traffic congestion along the existing MRR2, especially along the stretch between Ukay Perdana and Ampang; 3)Catalyst for new developments particularly along Semenyih, Kajang, Cheras and Ampang. Furthermore, through to other highways, it will help to spur development along their corridors due to the connectivity to Kuala Lumpur City Centre and other strategic economic centres; 4)Intra-urban highway providing convenient linkages for travel within the eastern and south-eastern end of Kuala Lumpur and between those areas and Kuala Lumpur City Centre; 5)Alternative route for users of North-South Highway from Kuala Lumpur to Seremban (through LEKAS); and 6) Alternative route for users of Karak Highway, upon the completion of the Ukay Perdana – UIAM section. It means if you enter EKVE from BMC toll and exit at Sungai Long toll, you only pay 1 toll.BMC toll and Sg Long Toll. Skip - SILK Sg Long Toll. If you enter BMC EKVE to Balakong or Serdang. You need to pay 3 Tolls. |

If they really want to solve the parking issue in Sg Long, MPKJ should expand the roads and draw more parking space at the road side. The cars has to go somewhere, you can't stop people coming to do their daily chores, and you shouldn't make one life more difficult to ease minority others.
All the roadside around hospital, UTAR, flora, shell, all the way to forest green. These place are neither pedestrian walkway(they are uneven and difficult to walk on) nor roads, just some wild trees and cement barriers. Why not turn it into proper parking? We can even squeeze in proper brick walkway and flower patch. Which is similar to the roads around cypress and scotpines, facing pasar malam and old town cafe. That way people has more parking, MPKJ can cut maintenance cost and make more income too. It doesn't take a smart guy to think about that? Current solution of renting land in BMC to park UTAR cars, and move pasar pagi to the current private car park is a stupid solution, not only wasting unnecessary money, cause troubles, doesn't solve anything, MPKJ is only sweeping their troubles aside, most likely when the solutions proven not working, election over dy. |

QUOTE(highburybaby @ Mar 20 2017, 07:50 AM) Why the flood WORSEN after MPKJ took over? Before MPKJ came in to charge everybody with parking fees and hantam everyone with saman, I barely noticed any flooding at that area.I am sure yall stay there noticed the "leaves blower" guy cleaning road leaves with a blower. One day I see this guy cleaning leaves in the area of the above flooding picture, he blow all the leaves into the drain, pretty sure he didn't plant to scoop them out. Probably nearby development play a role too because after so many trees chopped, water catchment also affected. This post has been edited by rexis: Mar 31 2017, 09:50 AM |

I actually happy to relocate the morning and night market to Bomba reserve land, it smooth the traffic and reduce the dirtiness along Persiaran SL1. I do agree proper parking lot should be allocated opposite Cypress, Scotpines and the current market area after relocation + MPKJ need to ensure all street light are in function it is quite dark at night in Persiaran SL 1. |
