Malaysian freshie can earn 3k in sg o ? Then i'm too way underpaid  cry.gif

Your comparison is incorrect and I can assure u that only very few MY fresh grad (not from overseas uni) earn 3k and above in SG. Mostly started with around 2k to 2.5k.
If u are trying to make comparison, u should also compare background of these grads. There are people that apply for 10 jobs and received 7-8 offers, and some applied 10 jobs maybe received 0-2 offers.

well. I've deal with environmental engineer before. Basically they are some sort of advisor for their Co to ensure it stays within Ministry of Environment guidelines or standards.

Hi iwan, the business owner told me that this field mainly focus on water testing, noise testing and air testing at industry factory or construction site. Ned some labor work for gettting the data from site and come back lab for analysis.

First part is true, but MOM has right to challenge and deny application. Second part is true as well.
Can, sure can.. MYR500k = Approx. SGD160k. I don't have exact figure of IB analyst, but I can roughly guess their total compensation (including bonus) is more than SGD80k p.a. (Any IB banker here can correct me if I am wrong? smile.gif )
Assuming flat 80k with no increment for next 4 years, that makes an average of 6.6k monthly.
Minus expenses for rental, living cost, statutory deductions and entertainment = 2.6k monthly (I know this may be huge amount for some - But let's assume expense for a Single bach and Ivy league grad).
If he/she has CPF/Pension plan, take home will be lesser, however actual earning is more than 80k p.a. now.
So, his/her saving p.a. is about 48k, and 4 years about 192k. Minus 160k of tuition fees.
That will leave him/her approx. 30k, for his/her vacation, saving, family, partners, etc.

p.a. = per annum.
Above is my personal assumption, definitely doable. Flat 4 years total compensation is unlikely, so gross income is higher over the years.
*
total gross compensation is closer to 150-170k for first years, so yeah def not impossible to pay back 500k ringgit in 2-3 years.

but i should add that ivy league undergrad would cost at least 1M ringgit these days

life insurance should be international...u die / TPD, they pay.

overseas claims for medical is only allowed if you were in MY the past 90 days if not mistaken.
after 90 days, your are not entitled to claim / no longer insured.
not sure if going back to jb for day trip every month will "renew" the period or is there any riders that can extend it or not.

best to check with your agent to confirm as they are the one who should know your plan best.

Hi Sir

Depend on your risk appetite, return can range from 5-9% annually

Can buy thru major brokerage firm in Sg, let me know if you need more info.

Hi guys,

I have few questions about IRAS tax:

- 2013 to 2015 - i've started working in SG and staying in SG.
- 2016 i moved to JB and commuting to SG in and out every weekday.
- as i understand residential address need to change. and if i put in JB address, tax will consider non tax resident.

1. did other people usually put in SG address in IRAS tax, but they stay in JB?
2. Can i put in my last rental address in SG, is this wrong?

Hopefully everybody can give input.

Thank you.
