that will be an awkward discussion, can i just submit my application without Annex A? Will ICA be in contact with my company during the processing period? i worry if they do, and my company knows, they might give me the sack.....
*
u need to have a job when u are completing your PR formalities (if your PR application is successful)...
but u can change job when it's still in processing period...js rmb to inform ICA after u start working in your new company...

Did you guys retain your Malaysian phone number?

Which prepaid services are recommended?
*
i used XOX instead coz can retain line for 2 years per reload...
but their service back in msia isn't top notch, less 4G coverage especially ourskirt of town...
but still good enough for me...
roaming to receive TAC is good enough biggrin.gif

Those who gotten pr and getting Singapore driving license. How do you go about doing it? I heard if you request some statement at JB they will blacklist your Malaysia license.
*
yes, they'll suspend your malaysia license on the system but u still get to keep the physical one...
if not wrong, you won't be able to extend it when expired...

QUOTE(kevin613 @ Nov 7 2017, 11:11 AM)
you are only supposed to legally hold one or the other, not both at the same time.
and its the correct procedure for JPJ to suspend your licence, and they are not doing it in bad-faith. It is done according to law.

according to Akta Pengankutan Jalan Section 27(6)
English:
http://www.mbi.gov.my/sites/default/files/...rt_act_1987.pdf
Malay:
http://www.jpj.gov.my/documents/10157/eda0...28-469b4520cf8a
so, whats the point in trying to hold on to your old license, more so illegally when you try to get it done through runner or bribing the officers, when it's completely unnecessary to do so?
*
relax....now u don't even need runner or bribing to hold your old license...
JPJ won't even take it back now...
when i went to take the extract, i totally ignore all the runners laugh.gif

Hi guys, want to check about BTT (basic theory test).
I bought the BTT 480 Question book from bookstore, is it enough to pass the exam by just studying this book?
There's another book - The New Highway Code, which I did not purchase.
*
Should be sufficient, u can also try some questions online. eg: bttsg

Most important is, understanding the question. Use common sense, choose the most well-mannered answer laugh.gif
Also, don't ever apply what we practice in Malaysia in the BTT laugh.gif

Just saw this phase on mom website " Under the Employment Act, if a public holiday falls on a Saturday, an employee who is not required to work on a Saturday is entitled to another day off or an extra day’s salary in lieu of that public holiday. " Does that mean we will get one extra paid leave ? Since CNY falls on Saturday
*
most comp will just replace it on the coming working day...

hi Everyone, I have some questions..

If I renew my Malaysia passport before my employment pass expires, how should I inform Singapore authority about the change of my Malaysia passport number and etc?
what should I do so that I can continue to use Singapore autogate at the immigration checkpoint?

and normally where do you guys go to renew the passport? need to go back to Malaysia or we can actually renew it here at Singapore?

Thanks in advance.
*
It's been mentioned before that u can renew at the Malaysia embassy in SG...
but u can't collect on the same day....u can only collect on the next day or the day after next sweat.gif

According to the law, not possible. But I have frens holding both MY and SG license without any issue, they still able to renew their MY license.
When I go JPJ to get my extract, the staff ask for RM50 "under table", said he won't cancel my license until expiry date.
When I ask how about renew after expiry, he just said cannot... I don't care since I have another 3 years validity to go.
But I asked around, no one been asked to pay this under table RM50, I think i kena chopped.
*
yeah kena chopped de...i totally ignore all the agents there laugh.gif
in system, your license is consider "suspended" de even though u still hold your physical license...
which i also since they didn't take back innocent.gif
