Many people claim working life in SG is too boring compare to in Malaysia (or more specifically in Klang Valley). I do get bored sometimes. I don't have much experience for Klang Valley however, so I wonder is working life at Klang Valley really that interesting?
*
it depends on the individual actually...
if u don't find activity youself....no matter where u go, it'll be boring after some time...

standard entertainment: movie, cafe, sports/gym, chill at home laugh.gif

ppl usually go JB for shopping/movie/massage...cheaper ma (i'm too lazy to go JB since no car tongue.gif )

Hi all, I'm about to start my first job in Singapore soon,
would like to ask for opinion before I proceed any further.

Currently looking for a single room with a budget of $550-$650 with the aircond being the option for the price range,
preferably to have own single toilet despite only renting a single room, not sure if this is feasible, and do I shortlist this criteria at those rental website?
my workplace is around Kaki Bukit MRT area, I don't mind to walk, MRT or bus (within 30 minutes) transport combination as my daily routine to work. Any other area that I can cheaper rental with better living conditions? provided I willing to travel 30 minutes

I have no Singapore registered number yet, which telco offers the best of the buck as a starter? Do I need my employment letter or pass to obtain a "non-tourist" sim pack? How much I have to fork out for a data plan that covers minimum data for whatsapp usage and some calls?

Thanks in advance.
*
with your budget, can only get common room with shared toilet...
with air con probably around $600-$700...
those with own toilet aka master bedroom would cost u at least $900 and above...

currently, I'm renting a common room at Bedok area $700 nett with air con...

Based on SGD800 as rent, how much would you save?
*
u probably would save a lot but it's like exchanging 2-4 hours per day for that cash due to travelling across the bridge...
also the energy.....queue, chasing bus, walk...
also lack of sleep....probably reach home around 9...then before 5am need to wake up...

well, every individual has different aim tongue.gif

haha my bad....i read it wrongly....
js declare 0 every year...

i also received the Pelaporan Sukarela email and it stated this:
QUOTE

so it's basically aiming towards income received in Malaysia...

Thanks, cause i have no idea what is the actual place the bus drop off.
Seem the name is same so i thought should be around same area..
guess i need to check the map huh..
*
woodland checkpoint is no where near the Woodlands MRT...you'll need to take public bus...

There's a few dropoff point for express bus...check google maps for nearest mrt stations...
if didn't personally request, the common dropoff would be Golden Mile/Complex and the nearest MRT to it would be Nicol Highway...

if u take Aeroline, they'll drop u at Vivocity and you are near HarbourFront mrt station...

I just got my PR and i got some queries. When i was on my Employment Pass, i used my FIN number to apply for bank account, singtel, paylah apps, fave, all those which require me to use either FIN/NRIC to register. of coz, at that time i used FIN to open all of them

Now, my FIN no more, and got my PR. So, do i need to change all of these account from my FIN to NRIC or its ok to leave them?
*
