hi guys, can share how you update ICA when you changed company?

PR still pending but I've changed job. any advise?
*
Email ICA and include your PR Application ID...
when i email them, i include details like last day at previous company, start date on new company...

then they'll ask you for informations like scan copy of new work pass etc etc...

I've heard of this anecdotally but it's first time happening to someone I know, so got carried away a wee bit.
Anyway, I am glad they are doing something/initiating to collect back the money they loaned out.
There are few possibilities - don't think she doesn't has the money to pay since the monthly payment is pretty affordable.
1. Being ignorant
2. Heck care about the system
3. The usual hide and seek from the creditor - pay later
This is not as bad as being blocked at the checkpoints/airports but yeah the authority is doing it in full force which is commendable.

Few years back, I have another colleague (now ex-colleague) who told us it's stupid to pay back PTPTN rclxub.gif . Just imagine someone really needed the money to further their studies and there's nothing left in the coffer.
*
it's a good move...
if borrow loan, then should pay back...don't take things for granted laugh.gif

now even foreigners can use the automated gates? i just came back from singapore for vacation and when i was passing through immigration the officer directed me to the automated gate which i thought was for singapore pr / citizen only. and i managed to pass through without surrendering the departure card.
*
as far as i know, those with working pass are able to use the automated gates...
not sure bout tourists though...
u work in sg b4 maybe? hmm.gif

QUOTE(rookie93 @ Jun 2 2017, 08:00 AM)
quick question, when applying for a next job ,while working on an existing one, lets say i get the new offer, do I wait until i get my IPA for employment, or can i resign at my existing one , the moment i sign/receive the offer letter from the future company...?
*
wait for your new pass to approve first before resigning...
the usual flow is sign offer letter, wait approve pass application then resign...

ps: you'll need to cancel your current pass before getting your new pass, that's after resign story...

yeah, the interest is really good if compare to FD...

my way of getting the 3 bills is splitting my telephone & broadband into 2 bills + my cc bills = 3 bills...
if don't have broadband bill to pay, then u can try ask friend/colleague for a bill...
js pay $1 to that bill and you are considered paying 1 bill already tongue.gif the $1 is worth it as the interest is more than that...
(your friend/colleague also can consider got $1 discount laugh.gif )
I did the latter when i haven't sign up for broadband...

and every year, you'll have income tax to pay....that also consider as 1 bill innocent.gif

Hot dang, will be harder then I thought.

EP also need a permanent address?
Because IPA says you need the EP to lease a place to stay laugh.gif
I guess I can get a hotel, some of them are the same price with airbnb that I wanted, 1.4k sgd for 30 days.

So no bank account no salary.
Will ask the HR what to do. laugh.gif
*
for EP, can use company address right?

and for bank account, last time i open a POSB account either with Passport/MY IC and EP pass...

Let's say for year 2016 I no need pay any tax since not over 183 days..
so next year tax the income for 2016 and 2017 will be combine for taxing or it will be separate?
*
QUOTE
Your employment income is exempt from tax if you are here on short-term employment for 60 days or less in a year.
If you are in Singapore for 61-182 days in a year, you will be taxed on all income earned in Singapore.

Filing of personal tax return is mandatory if your annual income is S$22,000 or more.

regarding the 183 days, only the tax rate is concern...
