I can give you a most update advise here because i commute daily by BUS in and out JB to SG to work for 6 years still counting. Yes, its true, recent 1-2 years (when najib turn upside down our MYR currency strength) TUAS link become very very jam due to more people work in SG to earn the 3x rate.

ive been looking for an accounting job since last week, zero call from the employers.

is it my expectation too high? i put 2300SGD for the expected salary (degree finnce holder).

Is there a EP quota for companies? My company wanted to counter offer me in SG, but mentioned that they are lack of EP

No quota for EP, only WP and SP need quota

I think it depends on company to company, I worked for very big foreign MNCs before (>3000 staff in SG) and all FTs are holding EPs and only <30% are locals.

as a fresh graduate and quit the job after working 1 week in the company.

reason is i felt like getting bullied by the manager, throwing every work to me. 4pm passed up 80+ invoices ask me to key in, no key in finish cannot leave. on first day they ask me to issue a cheque, i printed out upsidedown and told her i printed out wrong.. she direct tell me "if u dont think this job not suitable for u, u can just leave". so i left the company.

no OT pay. they replace OT pay to OT meal + taxi fare but only can claim if u work until 9PM.
what do you think?

My GF got an offer from Singapore recently. She has only 6 years of experience.

New Offer:
Role: Lead Business Analyst
Salary: 6.5k SGD and ~2 months bonus
Pros: Lead title, good for next career progression (although the actual work might still be one man show). Lower income tax.
Cons: No CPF. Fixed term 1 year.

Current employment:
Role: ERP Specialist
Salary: 10K MYR (still a lot potential to grow according to her) and 2 months bonus
Pros: 16% Employer EPF contribution. 20 days leave. Stock options. Permanent role.
Cons: 50 hours/week due to the amount of work. Higher income tax.

She is from north Malaysia, pay a room rental in KL @ RM600/month.

Is it worth for 30 years old person to take that Singapore offer?

She said since this is just 1 year contract, and it can be used a stepping stone to other company in SG or renewing contract or back to Malaysia.

Both companies are MNC. The offer from Singapore is from Allianz, insurance company.

So is it worth to go?
from MY to SG, should the offer be 1-1 ?

made a trip back to sg over the weekend, met some friends, spent some time with some important ppl.. and had a stronger conviction to come back to this side of the world now.. anyone looking for business analyst or got lobang for cybersecurity... haihs sometimes i wonder did i made a wrong choice to leave in the first place
