Anyone has experience to apply PR/LTVP for your newborn?
I checked ICA website, it requested for digital photo. How to take a passport photo for newborn with their requirement? I cannot ask my 1 month old daughter to open her eye when I am at the shop right? Some more I have to carry her and I myself will be in the photo as well right? Anyone?
*
take at home, go photoshop and edit and print for you. take many many photos on a white background. they can work something out

source : had a child last year. apply ltvp also.

? I'm not worrying about which pass I'm gonna get. I'm just wondering how common is it for Big 4 to hire Malaysian for graduate level positions.
*
used to be common. BUT these days all big 4 prioritise local singaporean grads for freshies. experienced candidates however are mostly foreigners.

source : im from ex EY Sg. still has many friends in EY and PwC SG.

i try to go back before mrt close and continue from home. its not as if there is something happening urgently in office at those hours anyway.

review file can continue at night. raise CN also can do from home. most clients nowadays by email anyway, and there is always lync or sametime.

Hey guys,

If I am no longer working in Singapore (more than 182 days there), and Singapore tax had been paid, after return to Malaysia and got a Malaysian job, did you need to declare the Sgp income in the Malaysian tax returns?

And then, do we offset/claim back the tax paid by way of double tax treaty? Or, we just declare the Malaysian income will do?
*
nope. malaysian tax is territorial. foreign sourced income not taxed.

amex waive one year, sc 2 year. true (Amex) vs unlimited (mastercard): if more accepted it's mastercard, but in SG amex no problem.... but amex annual fee is more to be waived off if you do not meet the minimum spending criteria.
*
i managed to get amex waived in my 2nd year xD.

see luck one.

QUOTE(tigersam @ Apr 26 2018, 07:39 AM)
Hi all the sifus here. I just want to seek some opinion.
I recently got an offer from Singapore, it's basically a transfer to a different entity within the group. Current salary is around RM17k, if convert to SGD its only around SGD$5700.

Is it unreasonable to ask for at least SGD$13? My logic is based on cost of living parity..., take my current package (RM17k) and add the differential in living cost (RM2k) then reduce it by 30%... to the dollar... Also given the fact I need to relocate my family (with kids) and taking into consideration that my wife may not be able to find a job.

Are there any simple formula that I can use to justify the amount? Appreciate the advice. Thanks.
*
theres no job grade or equivalent in ur co? in my experience transfers tend to be no change in job rade and they would pay u what ur job grade would have gotten. in Sg.

if its a small entity i suppose u should look at recruitment firms salary guide for an approximate.

(ps: actually alot of msians quite well paid)

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Apr 26 2018, 12:25 PM)
Would a sole proprietorship be sufficient? Or a partnership?

I've always wanted to migrate to Singapore ticks some things in my book:

- political stability...compare that to Malaysia gomen doh.gif
- low crime rate/security - compare that to the daily crime rate in Malaysia man and how safe is it to bring up a family here? How dependable is the Malaysian police force here?
- a much more organised and cleaner country. Shows a lot about the quality management.

But I'm just wondering what if I could not get a job there due to the competition? Or I want to avoid the office job and just become a full time trader?
