All lenses have distortion. Xzp camera is one of the best already, just sad that many reviewers are paid by the big boys to give bad reviews to other brands. There are only one or two YouTube reviews that are not biased. I'm glad I took the chance on Sony. Very happy with it.

not so understand. are u referring to video recording and the output dont have the voice recording at all?
next, to test out your mic it isnt functioning well, please follow the steps below: 1. go to call dialpad, dial *#*#7378423#*#* (this will enter service menu) 2. in service menu, select "Service Test" 3. Choose Microphone & Secondary microphone and test it out.. it will perform sound recording test, speak to it and listen any voice come out during playback..
i test it no problem with my mic, i guess is the discord app problem then

If 2 only not bias could be majority don't like it.if you look at overall design its 3 years backwards.
Really tempting to get this phone after learning that it offers 960fps slow-mo/HFR video capture... I have Sony RX100 IV (a very nice compact camera that I have) that offers 960fps HFR, which is fun to use and mess around with it... It would be great and convenient to have the phone that offers HFR recording like this one..
But from what I know, the slow-mo only offers 960fps..? No other settings, like 480 and 240 like RX100 IV camera does..? I have check the sample of HFR videos and found that the phone can only record like 0.2 second for the slow-mo part, which requires perfect timing.. I wonder in future, Sony could update with more frame rates settings and possibly longer slow-mo recording time and free range to record..
While I'm still interested to get this phone, I wish I could get a hold on it, feel it and try that 960fps recording...and potentially replace with my current expensive phone..

You are right - its only 960fps - and the other setting is normal slow-motion which can be applied throughout the video. 960 is limited 0.2 seconds - and requires timing (by starting recording and then pressing the 960fps slomo button at the right time) to get the shot you want - but when you DO get it - its quite amazing.
I would say get this phone but NOT for the 960fps - this feature - at least for me - is secondary - more like nice to have. I doubt Sony will put the features from their actual camera products into a phone camera.
Get it for the build and feel of the physical design + display + battery life - which are fantastic.

u forgot to add that sony phone has great audio too XD
if stylish phone and preety UI , i suggest u to get s8 phone ~
actually i prefer no one would reply to his yapping, to keep this thread clean. his yapping is more towards the design, and it has nothing to do with the performance and features of the phone.

i agree with this.. no one reply to him, then he feel no fun. then he will leave
actually i feel the 960fps not much useful for me.. i haven't really play with it seriously up to this day.. coz it's really nothing much can edit. features is abit limited. i thought it was like when we recorded a video, then we can edit one part of it into 960fps. then it will be very much fun.

Aesthetics, yes, it is a factor. But it's not the only one especially when it comes to electronic devices. However, there are so many who are so shallow and keep harping on it as if it's the all deciding reason to get a phone. Anyway, I have penned this many times in the other threads...if you like certain phones for whatever reasons, heap praises on them by all means but don't knock the others. But alas, we have characters here who are just reprehensible.

but sony only 24bit 192khz s8 support 32bit 384khz in spec wise suppose s8 better... the only complain is xz premium speaker altho is stereo but abit soft, i forgot to mention that in survey that send form Xperia lounge.hmm? UI wise..1 is stock android feel n 1 is heave bloated...depends on user preference
It's like a religion or something, my Sammy fanboy friends also trying to hard sell Sammy to me despite the fact that I already bought the xzp. It's a cult!
If the design is so bad, why the fish 🐠 do I like this phone so much? Sony has really done good finally.
