Hi, i just bought xiaofang from online source, got it yesterday, after checking seend motion detect, but adter upgrade , feature is hidden.

Can i ask how can i check version of firmware for xiafang?

oT question, have anyone use the xiafang as a dashcam? Is it able to withstand cars temperature without breaking etc. sample leave it on parking which is expose to sun? Or need to cover? Thank you.

Frame rate is too slow.
You can’t record anything
It’s not a very good camera

Sir, I just tried today, a poormans dashcam, low details but capture is not that bad for a 10fps rate. I think it may satisfy my old 1989 lancer. Mounted a magnet on the rear mirror and attach the magnetic base of the cam.

Searching the net seeing that cam can produce 25fps but on hac k mode. Is hac k still working on new version? Current version 4.0.1

Ps: viewed recording details fixed fps, but data rate from 300kbps to 3.8Mbps. File not same size but all 1min duration.

you guys xiaofang still can view it from outside the house wifi? such as using your mobile phone internet to connect and live stream the camera?

my one cannot view from outside house wifi anymore, i dont know why

Hi,

Very small built in antenna, you need to modify or buy the xiaomi wifi repeater. Can only connect 3 to 10 meter open area means no wall etc.

I Also want to mod and put used antenna from old router after warranty expires.

Hi, please help, anyone able to connect successfully after upgrade, play recorded videos while on ap etc.

Yey success using downgrade. Able to AP mode and working online mode.

Another update was publish, now the downgraded version cannot connect via ap mode. Can no longer use xiaofang as car dash cam. Grr

I just got one. The only issue I have with this camera is it gets very hot after a while. Is this normal? I am putting one in a room where there is no ventilation and no fan (store room facing the main door)

No that’s not normal at all
Mine has never been warm, much less hot

Hi guys, to those who dont seem to have problems with the xiao fang can recommend me where u buy them from?

Initially I bought the dafang, xiaomi's door sensors and the gateway from 11street. So they all can connect together as a home alarm system. I have no problems with those so I bought a xiao fang from the same guy but my camera gets very, very hot after a while. Now im just putting it as a dummy camera facing my front door but I still need another one.
