how will you all rate this cam? is it good for basic usage?

after the shit updates, the camera no longer has smoke and CO2 alarm sound detection, no longer has timed recording whereby i used to be able to record from 9-5pm on weekdays only. Xiaomi makes shit product.

anyone faced auto log out for the Mi Home app?

edit: how long does it take from plug in power to device ready (led turn blue permanently)? mine takes quite long, around 1-2 minute.

I got same issue, are you on unifi/tm? Must have something to do with china websites not working again.... Anyway to put the connection through vpn?

Yes, on unifi. I dont have vpn so im unable to test.

could be your wifi router
i had the same problem with my sonoff. can open using 3g but cannot using wifi
but my wifi all working, can go online. really strange
in the end, i on off my router and it start working normal again

will try it next time then.

I'm also on unifi. Tm always got problem connect to china websites. If you use opera vpn the websites become normal and can load but I dunno how to make the camera use vpn.

I have sdcard in the xiaofang. How do I view the recorded footage via my phone? (Using mihome android)

Or must I remove the sdcard everytime I want to view it?

I can view the videos and photos which I took manually no problem. But i cannot view the Auto Record videos through the app? And when the app says it will upload to Router, what does it mean? Xiaomi just offers us unlimited cloud storage?

i think that feature already axed by xiaomi. you cant take video and photo anymore
i tried my xiaofang - cannot also. It says "Please open the photo album"

the only recordings you can make is "Continued recording"
needs to be turn on .
to view tekan the bottom right button at the live view screen. the button has a play arrow with a circled arrow

you do not have to remove the sd card.you can view it directly from the apps>
on the mi home apps>select the camera>top right(3 dots)>select video record>you can view the history of all motion recording from there.

doesn't work anymore. the xiaofang that i have, i used to be able to receive notification when i play the alarm sound from phone. After the update, nada..
