Looking for your advise or suggestions regarding upgrading my old build. Is the current specs good enough to just upgrade the GPU to a new GTX 1070 without changing anything else except maybe upgrading the RAM to 2x 8gb DDR3 rams? Would like advise on if doing this would bottleneck the card or not as well or if which parts could be upgraded to avoid that.

Or would it be better to just spend RM 3-4k on a completely new setup that would be good to last for another 3-5 years?

The rig will be mainly be used for casual gaming on games like far cry primal, star wars battlefront, diablo 3, overwatch etc. Looking to get around a stable frame rate of around 70-80 fps averagely for a 24" 1920 x 1080 screen. Of course higher would be better.

hi any1 buying stuff using credit card visa from lowyat pc shops recently? do they have any extra charges using credit card when buying new pc/parts? do they have extra service charge building new pc/upgrade pc?

Would upgrading the CPU to some of the latest I5/i7s solve this bottleneck issue ? My concern would be the MOBO not being compatible or already too old for the new processors.

i have zotac gtx 1060 6g amp with backplate version.
i use msi afterburner and saw they set the temp limit to 83c for 100% performance. is it safe?

if so, with tecware f3, can you guide me how should i arrange the case fan? planning to go corsair non led one. some say 2x sp120 front, 1x af120 rear & 1x af120 top. is it okay? i dont have radiator btw.

yea now i have 2 stock fans at front, 1 aigo led fan at rear. thinking getting corsair because its better than tecware & aigo fans right?

My GPU burnt out recently, I dont really game anymore. but my screen resolution is a bit sucky after taking out my GPU. My plan is to get a GPU + SSD upgrade. Can recommend anything? more to using tools like photoshop, and watching HD videos/movies nia nowadays.

for SSD, erm, which brand to go for? i know my mobo cant take M.2, a dealer suggested pioneer  last time i was thinking it was always intel, samsung or i cannot remember the other one, was popular for CD-RW.

SSD for my OS, other brands beside samsung? entry level will do cos I dont think I can feel the difference.Pioneer is alright? thinking get one SSD, another 1TB hdd if not getting GPU. nah dont wanna get 2nd hand, i have trust issue with ppl nowadays, kena bitten too many times. pay a bit more to get new + warranty better.

Hi guys, one question. Since rx 580 is around the corner and it got me thinking.
Is rx 480 8gb better buy than rx 580 4gb as both of their prices are almost identical.
Higher base clock of rx 580 4gb vs higher memory of rx 480 8gb

Usage : dual monitor and gaming on 1080 144hz

Is CM690 compatible? Actually I am planning to change my casing also cause just the casing alone is already almost 5kg.

Trying to find something really compact as my room shrink into small place and the casing is taking much of the space!

Is this setup ok to run 1080p at 60fps on full setting on AA games? What can I cut to lower the budget and still get 60fps? Thx sifu2 for the advice. I won't be overcloking also.
