QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Jul 19 2025, 12:34 PM) 5060Ti is newer, has better RT, more features (DLSS4, DLAA, MFG, etc), much lower power consumption and less heat output. LOL? Newer does not mean its better. And RT is performance hit. Imagine playing it at this level of performance.Since its within OP budget, then why not go for the best his budget can maximise. ![]() ![]() Unless 7800 XT is out of stock or back to normal price. There is no reason to go 5060 Ti 16GB. This post has been edited by TristanX: Jul 19 2025, 01:45 PM |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Jul 19 2025, 03:25 PM) Percentage dont mean much without context. RT is playable even in most demanding of todays games (Indy) Yeah, 1920x1080! I don't hide the truth. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More than 10% raster performance is not the same. This post has been edited by TristanX: Jul 19 2025, 03:33 PM |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Jul 19 2025, 04:36 PM) Can't win the fight, so now you change subject. We are back to RM400-500 more money when you wanna compare it to RX 9060 XT. And for RM400-500 more for a mere 5% more performance from 5060 Ti 16GB. There is RX 7800 XT sitting at that price as well. Clearly you want Nvidia win. You cannot win price/performance fight. |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Jul 19 2025, 07:41 PM) I look at price/value. Theres clear performance (which 5060TI trumps over 9060xt) and then theres better features (5060TI over 7800xt). The 5060TI value sits somewhere in between these 2 AMD GPUs and its not a matter of whos winning here (I dont give a ratsass about you). Its what the buyer looks to the value of each GPU and evaluate which gives them more value per dollar. You can make it a price/performance fight but reality a buying decision is not as simple as that. Value you say. Lets see. As someone who has both 4080 and 9070 XT. AMD drivers are far more stable this year. DLSS? There is FSR which is the weaker version but it is improving. Both could get you artifacts. Frame generation? There is input lag. Video codec? AMD significantly improved this one. I no longer loathe it. Of course you are free to go your favourite tech store and holler at all customers there buying 5060TIs and below.... Now when it comes to hardware. Don't forget 5700X is still on PCIE 4.0. 5060 Ti is running on PCIE 5.0 X8. It will definitely hold back a bit of performance for 5060 Ti. And Nvidia drivers also comes with some overhead. Is it worth RM400-500 more for more performance on 5060 Ti? Definitely not for me. There is 7800 XT sitting at RM2149. You can writeoff RT at this performance level as well. |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Jul 20 2025, 10:09 AM) Not just me alone but even utube says so LOL. Shifting goal post again. Now you linked a best USD300 card video when the original poster looking for 16GB cards with around RM1600 vs RM2000. Scroll to https://youtu.be/4QwsVHoLos8?t=854 As for PCIE bandwidth scaling, theres negligible difference https://www.techpowerup.com/review/nvidia-g...scaling/31.html As someone who has 4080 and 9070xt, these lower end cards values obviously doesnt rhyme with you since your not the target market. The target market does matter when it comes to drivers and features. Because lower end cards cannot handle RT. LOL |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Jul 20 2025, 06:38 PM) If you actually cared to watch b4 you pound the keeb, the GPUS featured are the ones OP listed + B580. Your original argument is 5060 Ti 16GB. The recommendation which is around RM2000-2100 instead of cheaper RX 9060 XT 16GB. What "watch before I post"? You are the one changing. Have to go as low as putting $300 card video benchmarks and followed that conclusion. Yeah, keep on inflating post count by posting nonsense even when I already showed the data.Whenever I can I am running RT on my 3060Ti, so far been doing > 100 FPS 1080P High w/o DLSS, played thru Metro EE on RT, DOOM E on RT, COD MW2019 on RT. Too bad SM2 has no RT but still that game is gorgeous at 120FPS Ultra/High. I have no doubts 5060TI will perform better in RT than 2 my generations older GPU. Those are older games. It comes with old system requirements. This post has been edited by TristanX: Jul 20 2025, 07:42 PM |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Jul 21 2025, 11:40 AM) LOL whats the problem when that 5060TI was amongst the list of cards being considered? What to blame go blame OP budget is so wide margin. Its not like I am you telling him "go buy better GPUS even if you cant afford it, because these are better than your choices". Your just fighting in quicksand here. And I already showed 5060 Ti not worth the price.Admittedly these are older games as I work thru my backlog, I might wanna try Clair Obscur to compare latest games looking at how gorgeous and how well optimised for AAA game unlike the many VRAM eating unfinished POS today. The again, Metro EE and Doom E were frequently used for benchmarking until recently so I can still relate my gameplay with these tested results... Ok, since you still want to continue with different goal post even when he decided with 9060 XT 16GB. His list also got 7700 XT and 6800 XT for second hand. It will blow all $300 cards away. With money to spare for PSU. |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Jul 21 2025, 03:11 PM) Strawman argument that AMD shills like to use, then they complains why the market reality is not follow their reality... 92% market share means nothing when there are some garbage and overpriced products. I don't even want those for free.https://finance.yahoo.com/news/nvidia-secur...-150444612.html Mind you if want to argue pricing, BOTH here sux. Nvidia set their own suka hati price levels and AMD basically "follows Nvidia less $50" which isnt the pricing level that gamers want. Only ARC has reasonable prices when available Of course used GPUS has better raster perf/dollar coz its used. But then RX 6000 series has worse features than 7000series which has worse features than 9000series (RT, crappier FSR gen, encoding, streaming, work apps use). So there will be other limitations handicapping older GPUS. So again it depends on ones usage for the GPU. LOL going with RT again. Running with tape recorder? 6800 is crap with video codec. |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Jul 21 2025, 10:08 PM) As I said, your not the majority target market but that doesnt mean it doesnt exist. As much as at least 50% doesn't know what they are buying. At least now people check and make sure they are not buying rubbish. Not sure whats your beef with RT tho... https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/...ower-spec-model https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/...etween-variants RT is very demanding. It wont be smooth using low to mid range products. Especially recent games. |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Jul 22 2025, 12:15 PM) Umm your beef is with the value of 5060TI but those articles you linked is telling that people are buying 5060TI 16GB over the 8GB models. Their still buying the 5060TI which your hating anyhows. Majority of buyers doesn't know what they are buying. Many will fall into the trap when they buy it from random sellers. So not sure what your trying to say here, that the 50% who checks are still stupid for buying 5060TIs? Basically 100% are still stupid in your books? RT has been getting better, the hit to lower end GPUS arent as bad as 2060 or even 2070 was. Nowadays some games allow to choose which RT effects to turn on so theres a lot more room to tweak when the GPU has enough 'horsepower'. 2060 was barely playable with RT even with lowest settings ![]() 5060 is quite comfortable in RT with some games ![]() RT has evolved over the years. BF V is old game. |

QUOTE(chocobo7779 @ Jul 26 2025, 05:17 PM) Fixed that for you Playing Blue Archive on my Arc A380 rig. Super low requirements, fun and epic music. Only issue is gacha style and gatekeeping. Just playing it when I got time.Even slightly older titles can eat up CPU cycles like no tomorrow - I just finished Wild Hearts and I was surprised how CPU demanding this game is despite the age |
