Based on those listed; 5060TI is overall slightly faster than 9060xt

5060Ti is newer, has better RT, more features (DLSS4, DLAA, MFG, etc), much lower power consumption and less heat output.

Since its within OP budget, then why not go for the best his budget can maximise.

Percentage dont mean much without context. RT is playable even in most demanding of todays games (Indy)



Going 7800xt, OP will defo need a new higher watt PSU. More money spent for same perf. WTH!

xx60 family is realistically now 1080P high/ultra GPU, it still makes your 9060xt looks worse.

I look at price/value. Theres clear performance (which 5060TI trumps over 9060xt) and then theres better features (5060TI over 7800xt). The 5060TI value sits somewhere in between these 2 AMD GPUs and its not a matter of whos winning here (I dont give a ratsass about you). Its what the buyer looks to the value of each GPU and evaluate which gives them more value per dollar. You can make it a  price/performance fight but reality a buying decision is not as simple as that.

Of course you are free to go your favourite tech store and holler at all customers there buying 5060TIs and below....

As someone who has 4080 and 9070xt, these lower end cards values obviously doesnt rhyme with you since your not the target market.

If you actually cared to watch b4 you pound the keeb, the GPUS featured are the ones OP listed + B580.

Whenever I can I am running RT on my 3060Ti, so far been doing > 100 FPS 1080P High w/o DLSS, played thru Metro EE on RT, DOOM E on RT, COD MW2019 on RT. Too bad SM2 has no RT but still that game is gorgeous at 120FPS Ultra/High. I have no doubts 5060TI will perform better in RT than 2 my generations older GPU.

LOL whats the problem when that 5060TI was amongst the list of cards being considered? What to blame go blame OP budget is so wide margin. Admittedly these are older games as I work thru my backlog, I might wanna try Clair Obscur to compare latest games looking at how gorgeous and how well optimised for AAA game unlike the many VRAM eating unfinished POS today.
The again, Metro EE and Doom E were frequently used for benchmarking until recently so I can still relate my gameplay with these tested results...

Mind you if want to argue pricing, BOTH here sux. Nvidia set their own suka hati price levels and AMD basically "follows Nvidia less $50" which isnt the pricing level that gamers want. Only ARC has reasonable prices when available
Of course used GPUS has better raster perf/dollar coz its used. But then RX 6000 series has worse features than 7000series which has worse features than 9000series (RT, crappier FSR gen, encoding, streaming, work apps use). So there will be other limitations handicapping older GPUS. So again it depends on ones usage for the GPU.

As I said, your not the majority target market but that doesnt mean it doesnt exist.

Umm your beef is with the value of 5060TI but those articles you linked is telling that people are buying 5060TI 16GB over the 8GB models. Their still buying the 5060TI which your hating anyhows.
So not sure what your trying to say here, that the 50% who checks are still stupid for buying 5060TIs? Basically 100% are still stupid in your books? 

RT has been getting better, the hit to lower end GPUS arent as bad as 2060 or even 2070 was. Nowadays some games allow to choose which RT effects to turn on so theres a lot more room to tweak when the GPU has enough 'horsepower'.

2060 was barely playable with RT even with lowest settings


5060 is quite comfortable in RT with some games

Hi guys, looking for some advice on the following build. Main purpose of the PC would be gaming at 1440p high/max settings for at least a good couple of years (of course lowering settings as games get more demanding).

For 1440P gaming at high/ultra maxed out I would target something like RM 6.5k ~7.5k.
