I'd expect Zen 5 to be priced as expensive as Zen 4 X3D. As for anything that meet TS's budget... not so soon. 

Well TS is doing AI training, so RTX4060 Ti 16GB is the way to go for that price range. 

Actually that is a downgrade from 4060 Ti with reduced VRAM. 
There will be cases where a model needs more than 12GB VRAM to run, where 4070 will be out of question even with more cores.

Techyescity predicted Blackwell flagship will go up in pricing further than 4090 all the way up to USD $1800 just coz of AI, so this could mean the entire stack of 5000series might bump up in pricing.

Hi currently how much needed to build a super fast computer?Mostly used it for web browsing and only play game like Counter Strike and valorant that entry level graphic card can do.

Because I see some twitch streamer their pc are super fast and snappy when switching between tabs with so many tabs and program running. I sure they using top spec CPU and GPU which is out of my budget, hoping I can save a few thousand off bcs I dont need a top of the line GPU..

1. Please let me know if I should change any of these options to a different one or be aware of something. Like, I have seen articles about gigabytes motherboards had some issues but was fixed, iinm. Aftershock not providing different brand anyway. So, if someone can enlighten me.

2. Regarding vendor, I bought laptop from aftershock SG before, but never in MY. It seems in MY, they rebranded multiple times and they are not so active here too. And using the search function in lowyat, doesn't seem people talk about them too. Are they ok? Or are there better vendors? If provide delivery service better.

3. I will get a new monitor too. (Not included in the budget I mentioned above.) I suppose 27" makes sense? Please recommend a budget brand that has good quality too.

You are talking about arrow lake, right? According to the rumor, release in October? And performance increase is 15%? Wonder how much it will be...

Idealtech likely to be a bit better, but just by a bit with more choices. Have you tried asking sifu Myway here? If you firmed your build even Adamtayy can do for you as long as you dont let him change anything. Subang side you may wanna check out Dotatech too but you will need ask them to build for you.

As for your dilemma, its an easy answer; can you wait or not? If not, no need ask. And likely next gen stuff is overpriced at launch so your budget may need to up somemore.

Or you can try hedge the new launch in hopes 14th gen will get a nice price cut but many sellers will keep minimum stock when that happens too so you may find running out of stock for certain parts you want. Double edge risk there.

Intels Tick Tock node shrinks havent been smooth sailing the past few years, going from 14++++++ to 10Nm to 7nm was torture and Meteorlake was supposedly 14th gen and also supposed to be a dry run for chiplet but the scale back in performance (6Pcores only WTF?!) vs Raptor meant Intel had to ditch desktop version and upturn their product planning by bringing forward Arrowlake a year ahead and now got no choice but to make a good bang with ARL. If it was as successful as Alderlake, they got a winner but that was when AM5 was still 1 year before launch. Now the competition is tougher.

Intel strategy of ramming in moar powah cannot continue as since with 2nm chiplet if they try boosting to 300W like KS spec, it would be nearly impossible to cool even with 420 AIO as the heat surface contact will be far much smaller. I see Cove Pcores have ady run their distance, there is no more performance efficiency left for Intel to squeeze and they will need a new chip uarch to ramp efficiency to beat Zen uarch.

TLDR I have said before aim for Arrowlake since Meteorlake will be pioneer iteration. Now MTL is down, ARL is the desktop pioneer I would suggest skip that and wait for Intel to maturise everything then shoot for Lunarlake.

Im referring to core efficiency. You can shrink Raptor Cove down the node but if you dont change uarch, a 2nm sized RC core will perform the same as current 7nm Raptorlake where Intel have to ramp up power usage just to compete. And if a much smaller 2nm sized core has to dissipate 300W of power the thermal density will be far higher than current 7nm die size (imagine trying to cool down 100oC on a 1cm2 square vs the same on a 1inch2 square, which you think its easier for a cooler to absorb that heat load?)

Traditionally a downshrink node will lead to more cores, or bigger L3 cache, or better APU, or new stuff like NPU/AI. For next gen CPU to have better power efficiency will need a redesign uarch.

Sandy Bridge was a huge leap over Westmere not because of node shrink (it shares the same as Westmere) but because it was fundamentally uarch different than Nehalem which Westmere based on.

Nehalem was 1st gen Core, SB was 2nd gen. So if anything to go by I would say wait for chiplet 2nd gen (after Arrowlake) to really see that SB leap.

What are the reasons for the CPU and mobo choice here?
