Hello sifus, my laptop got into accident, bought 2020, no plan to upgrade or change quite satisfied but accident happen, sent to illegear they cannot repair, something2 motherboard,

prev laptop: illegear ares 5, amd r5 3600, screen 144hz, 16g ram, rtx 2070 s, 500gb ssd, RM6413,

Now plan to get desktop, upgrade spec from above, complete with os, office home etc2

[Hardwares that will be re-use] AOC 24" 1080p monitor 144 hz (plan to give my sibling), mouse, keyboard

[Monitor resolution] Want to try 2k gaming, can recommend this too, if cannot fit budget than just use 1080p above

[Games & softwares that use frequently] I played lots of games, AAA, turn based, rpg, arpg, rts, fps,

never do assemble parts before or order one by one,

Actually I quite concern of Ryzen temperature, and prefer to go for ddr5 since the cost of ddr5 is quite ok now.

While a 5800x3d would work on a motherboard like that, there would be noticeably lower cpu clock speeds because the vrm wouldn't be able to deliver enough power.

Honestly I haven't used any AMD parts before so I am not too sure what you mean by be my own technician. Usage is mainly to game.

Actually my budget is approximately 5k for parts replacement only. Most parts actually to replace like the CPU, GPU, RAM, PSU and cooler. Only think I reuse is my m2, monitors and case

But based on the pricing I checked online and store, Intel parts seems to be cheaper and not planning to do any OC. The thing I am actually looking/comparing is:

Ryzen 5 7600 + B650 board

1. regarding gpu, any single fan white gpu 2 slotted gpu recommended? rtx 3060/4060

2. noctua L9i cooler sufficient for asrock b750m-itx-D4, 14500 and the above gpu?

LOL! Yep saw that but do read it carefully as it relates to only Ksku CPU and most users that had issues are 14900K. Most have the theory that it related to the infamous Ksku excessive power draw when that CPU goes PL2 unlimited which then fights the equally huge power draw from Nvidia GPUS.

So when you power limit the CPU even for 14900K (which games usually dont use full power) people have no issue. So its looks to be a nothingburger too

Looks like Intel got too desperate in pushing the chip to limit and eventually the chip becomes unstable even with the stock voltage curve? 
Different context. This is the case of pushing thing out of spec, which is obviously normal as not guaranteed.

A thing to note now is both camp are trying to push the chip as high clock as possible by providing high voltage when out of factory. It is just the matter of time when the stock curve no longer can fulfill after using for some time. The argument is weak on saying Intel is more stable, and I showed the contradiction.

So now I have AMD server running 24/7 without failure after years and so can I claim AMD is more stable? I afraid not.

Case: Lian Li O11 Vision (White)

processor i prefer intel minimum i5 (latest gen).
graphic card i prefer nvidia that minimally can play AAA titles such as Howard Legacy at 1080p.

theme wise i prefer a all white rig with RGB.

budget wise last time it was between rm8k to 10k.
but any lower now I will be happy.

Hi guys, looking for a recommendation for a new rig

My budget is around RM5K but if possible i want to know what i can get for budget around RM4K also, see if the improvement isn't a lot then i can just settle with RM4K rig

For the case i prefer to use JONSBO D41 white but if there's other better recommendation also can consider

Mostly just for normal daily usage and a bit of gaming for games like assassin creed etc

Also can anybody recommend a shop in penang that i can just purchase the specs and set up everything for me like one stop shop? I have heard about illegear before but i'm not sure about the quality, i searched the reviews before but looks like not very good also
