What if i decided to go with 8400 ,mobo same?

I dont use so many tab , normally use within 6 tab max also wont more then 10 tab
If we go for a new gpu ,it will cost me more then 300 ,hmm…
Think to go 8400 is in cast tiba2 come out dota 3 also cant handle ,but dont think this will happen la haha~

Awesome bro , any place have demo for 144 monitor ,wanna see hows the difference ,then only difference getting it or just get a normal monitor ,then can have more allocate to gpu

GC prices definitely came down a lot so yes it's not a bad time to build PC.

Hey guys, thanks for helping me build a new rig as my old one died (display suddenly turned light blue-ish, I then manually reset it, now when I switch it on, the display doesn't show anything. I have swapped monitors, GPU and RAM but nothing helped.)

My aim is to procure a value for Ringgit competitive gaming rig with hopefully a 144hz monitor (with adaptive sync). Future-proofing if possible.

Budget - 3k for now (inclusive of a 144hz monitor, may bump up the budget).

Purpose - Primarily for competitive gaming, followed by NetFlix and light work (excel, word, email, research).

Hardwares that will be re-use - Possibly the following 6 years old equipments - SSD (Crucial M4 128GB), 1TB HDD, Case (Cooler Master CM 690 II), PSU (SilverStone 700W), Cooler (Corsair H60). Will also be using my old keyboard, mouse and mousepad.

Monitor resolution - Currently FHD 60hz. Planning to swap to FHD 144hz with adaptive sync.

Games & softwares that use frequently - Overwatch, NetFlix & various single-player games (Doom for example).

Personal preferences - I lean slightly in favour of Intel due to good experience of the same. In regard to Nvidia vs Radeon, I am completely clueless in this regard save for Nvidia is needed for G-sync monitors whereas Radeon is needed for FreeSync monitors.

Location - Flexible as I am able to commute to Lowyat and/or Digital Mall (SS14)

Remarks - I am not the overclocking type. Also, I am the type who doesn't mind spending a little extra if it is worth it.

Besides that, I have an existing 1440p monitor that I wish to use as a secondary monitor, mainly for watching other media while gaming etc. RTX seems rather disappointing price/performance wise so I guess a 1080Ti would be best, or would SLI with 2 1070s etc be more worth it?

Dell P4317Q is a 43" 4K Monitor which is equivalent to 4 x 21" FHD monitor.

Trading PC does require very fast and uninterrupted internet connection, good wifi card is needed. Fast M.2 NVMe but low storage should be adequate. fast cpu and 16GB RAM. Low power consumption, low heat generated and low noise as it might be running 24x7 depending on what he plan to trade. Backup power is essential.

Edit: Future Expansion would probably be another P4317Q, system should but not necessary capable to handle 2nd unit of P4317Q monitor. My thoughts.

Thanks for your info..but mostly mobo i checked only supports HDMI 1.4b with max. resolution 4096 x 2160 @ 24 Hz / 2560 x 1600 @ 60 Hz..

For processor wise, I think will stick to I3 8100..
Checked I3 8100 only support max DDR4 2400mhz..which mean even mobo support 2666mhz and memory 2666mhz..it still running at 2400mhz right?
