B][Budget] Rm 5.7k~ (Reserving 300 for Headphone)

[Purpose] Gaming, Modelling software , Watch movies.

[Hardwares that will be re-use] keyboard and mouse. Maybe SSD.( need to check if it's faulty)

[Monitor resolution] Preferably 27 inch if within budget otherwise i can settle for 24 (1080p)

[Games & softwares that use frequently] AutoCAD, Pubg, Overwatch, Diablo 3, GTAV, Solidwork.

[Personal preferences] i5 and gtx1060 would suite me. Budget allocation in the following order ( CPU, GPU, MOBO-itx if possible, Monitor, others, Casing). Not much care casing but preferably itx sized.

[Location] KL, Johor

Asking too much for the budget. i5 and ITX will cost even more. Only Z370 motherboard is available. Kaby Lake? Not worth the price.

How about these?

Core i5-8400 - 778
MSI Z370 Gaming Plus - 599
Corsair 8GB DDR4-2400 X2 - 800
Zotac GTX 1060 6GB DDR5 Mini - 1299
Samsung 850 Evo 250GB - 438
WD Blue or Seagate 1TB - 200
Super Flower Leadex Gold 650W - 479
Corsair Spec case - 299
LG 24MP59G 24" - 573

RM5465 total (C-Zone prices)

Optional (if you want ITX):
Gigabyt Z370N-WIFI - 779
Coolermaster Elite 130 case - 199
Silverstone SG13B case - 239 (lazada)

Kaby Lake is not worth it. Go Ryzen 3 instead. Masterwatt Lite is also trash. Go for Corsair instead.

Is it better to get Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel 8400 now ?

I ask this because of the existence of Spectre and Meltdown. I hear their patches (on Window) will slow down cpu performance by 30%+.

So will intel or amd has the less impact ?

AMD has only spectre affected. The slowdowns is overrated. Just buy and use.

I think its your GPU. Recommended is at least GTX 1060 6GB (GTX 980) performance.

OS: 64-bit Windows 10
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5-1600 / Intel Core i5-7600K
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB or better

PC price at least 40% higher compare to 4-5 years ago. 2k with monitor not going to cut it.
