Sorry, another quick question — any fan recommendations?
If I bought the Thermalright Royal Pretor 130 cooler for CPU Cooler.

I see a lot of people recommend Noctua, but the NF-A14x25r G2 PWM is hard to find from local sellers.
Are there more affordable alternatives that still offer solid airflow and quiet performance?
I’m planning to follow Fractal’s 140 mm fan layout for the North XL.

Try Arctic P14 Max. This fan can go 2800rpm. You have to limit the speed.

Hi all, want some help on parts for my upcoming itx build

Cpu : r5 7500f. If there's a better cpu with a difference of 100-200 might go with that.

Mobo : any cheap a620i. Not too keen on chinese mobo like jginyue b650i, dunno about their future driver support & ram compatibility

Ram : 16gb or 32gb. This rig will mainly be used for gaming, dunno how much is optimal.

Storage : any good value 2tb nvme.

Gpu : rx 9060xt 16gb or rx 9070. Really wanted Nvidia, but scared if i unplugged the 12v cable too frequently something might happen.

Psu : 600-800, dunno how much i need

Case : sgpc k49 pro. Or any itx below 10L w similar layout.

Budget is 4-6k. Will mainly be gaming on fhd, 2k for nxt year when i have the money for a new monitor. I wanted itx since it compact enough to carry on a plane yet upgradeable, unlike steamdeck. Will be traveling min once a year to kk.

Dunno if this is the correct format. Thanks for any feedback

If traveling by plane I would reco get a gaming laptop. Will be pricier to match the specs above but far more durable for portability and you can game while waiting in the airport.

Alright, understood — Guess I’ll have to include RAM in my list.
Thanks for pointing that out.
I see, thanks for your input. I’ll keep that in mind — there’s already quite a lot of parts I need to get and they’re not cheap, so I’ll plan to swap the HDD for an SSD later on.

As for the RTX Super rumours in Oct/end Oct, I don’t mind waiting on the GPU purchase.
But it should be fine to buy the rest of the parts first, right?
Also, will the parts I listed in my ‘new 1st option’ still be compatible with my current GPU while I wait for the Supers?
*
Bear in mind SSD prices have been falling a bit lately but will soon shoot up even higher than the previous highs as NAND makers are all upping prices
https://www.techpowerup.com/341330/nand-fla...or-qlc-products

TLDR if you dont buy now it will be costlier later. RAM as well.

GPU can wait, your 2080Super is about same perf as my 3060TI and afaik I havent see the need to go lower than High on my games and still does to 120FPS.

"Also, will the parts I listed in my ‘new 1st option’ still be compatible with my current GPU while I wait for the Supers?"
Follow the reco of Tristanx...

"Are there more affordable alternatives that still offer solid airflow and quiet performance?"
Artic P14 or Scythe Kaze 140

Another bonus point; unlike ITX builds, you do not need to lug around with peripherals like display, mouse and keyboard icon_idea.gif

Highly doubt it. 7 years down the line very likely GPU is not powerful enough for any cards at this price anyway.

And Intel is hiring more GPU engineers....

Intel confirmed that they are keeping ARC, despite Nvidia's investment:

Whether Intel can keep their word is another issue altogether icon_idea.gif

Yes whether Intel can keep their word is another matter. LBT has been shedding even potentially profitable sections so unless someone has a crystal ball, there is no telling whats in the future.

because shopee sellers are about 30% more expensive. there are reasons why I buy from AliExpress or Taobao - cheap.
which model did you buy? kindly provide shopee link.

I bought my BE200 here
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/pdp-i391...2626537634.html

They also have 6E AX210 @RM76 here
https://www.lazada.com.my/products/pdp-i3081812177.html

Way below your RM 100 budget and comes with the assurance your package will arrive and still got warranty if damaged. So I dont see whats the issue here.

the user review:
"the pcie driver came with the wifi card unable to detect wifi, so I look for another on the internet it installed as usb wifi card, it worked, very weird. Bluetooth not working. it's not worth to invest on this."

???

this is the right driver? I wonder which chipset it is based on. I guess it is AX200 based on the ad diagram.
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/dow...windows-11.html

the Q&A in the page:
Q1: Does it work on AMD chipset motherboard?
A: NO,please contact Customer Service for help.

does that mean this requires specific intel cpu/mobo to work? intel cnvi? I will be using it on an old intel Core 4th gen pc.

You can ask the seller your questions. But there are plenty more similar ones.

As for BT its answered by seller FAQ
Q4: The bluetooth doesn't work, what should I do?
A: Please connect the 9-pin USB cable (black) included in the package to the 9-pin USB 2.0 interface on the motherboard. The white end connects to the pcie network card adapter socket. Then install the bluetooth driver

Consider MSI B850M Gaming PLUS Wifi as alternative
RAM, do ensure its in mobo QVL. Ryzen are sensitive to this if want EXPO
PSU, that Asus unit isnt bad but Asus stuff are normally overpriced, so theres better choices for less money
Having a HDD isnt futureproof, combine & just get a 2TB SSD then add on another SSD later when you have money
Change front fans to P14 140mm otherwise 2 120 intake & 3 120 outake will cause negative pressure inside case, larger front fan will balance out better

That Sam 990Pro is top tier but there are cheaper and nearly as good options, Adata S70, Legend 960Max

Try
i5 12400F
MSI B660M-E / B760M-E / (I dont think will save much with H610M DS3H?)
Acer UD100 as above (get this now as DDR4 is becoming pricier)
500GB SX8200 Pro
Segoteps are fire hazard ( https://hwbusters.com/psus/segotep-pm650w-a...3-1-psu-review/ ), go with FSP HV Pro 550W
What about case? https://www.lazada.com.my/products/slevcase...8109554520.html

Not sure you can fit in a 5060 into above as it ady half that budget https://www.lazada.com.my/products/pdp-i4624114277.html
