I'm planning to buy an nvidia GT1030 for a Pentium E5200 light gaming rig. Do you think GT1030 is overkill?

I'm more worried which will be the bottleneck? cpu or gpu? if it's cpu, then it's not worth to spend on a GT1030.
I may plan to get cheaper 2nd hand option. GTX650 (2nd hand) or GT710 (new) better?

if you can't figure out (by looking at photos) where the ventilation holes for the fan intake are, it probably means bad air flow. it's that simple.

from my experience, edge uses a lot less ram than chrome and firefox. best for rigs with 4GB ram.

try install and run msi afterburner with rtss (included) or hwinfo64 (u need to download rtss seperately). check the ram usage during gaming.
fyi, my GTA V gaming hovers around 6 to 7GB.
