Spec in a good CPU cooler too, Thermalright PA120/SE or PS120/SE. Then you can draw max CPU performance with PL2 unlimited.

Wow.. looking at the spec still as of today.. Price for AMD vs Intel still the same as before so huge difference even I put G6405 in the line for 2 core vs 2 core.... Missed those time so much when u can get a decent CPU + MOBO + RAM for RM400 10 years back..

AFAIK i5 14500 has max TDP of 154W and PR2 has a cooling TDP up to 150W so its gonna cut very close if you unlimit PL2

If you cap PL2 boost limit to 150W then it should be fine. If you do see thermal throttle, try adding 2nd fan.

Yeah, can't do anything about it. Latest motherboards costs even more. Depends on the performance level. AMD not always cheaper.

Do not buy the SSD. I smell crap ones from that store. Avoid any SSD that doesn't come with DRAM. Unless you like stutterfest.

RAM probably DDR4 SO-DIMM. Also, do not buy if that seller doesn't specify what he'll give. Ryzen loves RAM speed. I would advise a pair of DDR4-3200 SODIMM.

The con will be upgradeability. You have to buy entire set again when you need it.

Probably, but build quality can be dodgy and if something related to the system board/SoC fails you'll have to resort to component level board repair which itself may not be a good idea

If your budget is tight you might want to look at prebuilt machines from office liquidation/second hand stores (like those Dell Optiplexes/HP Elite Mini/Desk/Lenovo ThinkCentre) instead - note that you may need to pay a bit more for a SSD as most of them are only equipped with a HDD
Note: look for such machines with an 8th gen Intel CPU and above, as those machines are officially supported for Windows 11 (Windows 10 support is ending in about a year)

Then you can easily go for a lower end board (gaming doesn't stress the CPU VRMs much)

TBH I think even cheap DDR4 2666 would be plenty fast for TS usage anyway
