Thank u for recommendation
Is it ok if I swap gtx1060 to gtx1050ti and add an ssd instead?
Thinking of buying used gtx1050ti since local shop cheapest gtx1060 6gb is Rm1599
Or is that card too old?

Thats up to you. You can add SSD later anyway.

You can always order GTX1060 at significantly cheaper price online as well.

Graphic card manufacturer's website tells you most of the time. Some GPU reviews also shows roughly how much it needs.

Guys guys, my friend asked me this..

He wanted to build a Ryzen 5 buid with 32GB of RAM. What he wanted to know, is it better to use 4x8GB or 2x16GB RAM ? Before he asked that, I just assumed that there's no different, becuz 32 is 32, nothing else matters.. That's my understanding.. LOL..

Nope. Rendering with extra core is extra muscle.

16GB X2 better but check motherboard compatibilty from their website first. No difference performance wise.

Upgrade your graphic card to GTX 1050 Ti. Zotac GTX 1050 Ti 4GB DDR5 Mini is RM729. You can think about SSD when you have more budget.

Hi, would like to get some recommendation on monitors. I have Gigabyte GTX 1060 Aorus Extreme 6GB.

My budget is around 1-1.2k. 1080p with 24/27" would be ok.
Is G-sync necessary and worth it?

Any recommendation would be helpful.

Hi all ... appreciate any inputs here for a limited budget of rm1k and maybe can extend to rm1.5k if really needed..

[B][Budget] rm1k preferred or rm1.5k max. Only for mobo, core i5, ram and ssd.

[Purpose] day to day office work with occasional video and light gaming.

[Hardwares that will be re-use] monitor reuse.

[Monitor resolution] standard 1080p

[Games & softwares that use frequently]

[Personal preferences] no personal preference but this is for someone a bit old so prefer stability and no issues. Because won't be able to spend time to debug in future.

Only second hand can get you i5 base setup. CPU itself already at almost RM800 and RAM prices continues to rise. Ryzen 3 1200 definitely can fit.

Ryzen 3 1200 (does not come with built-in graphics) - 519
Asrock B350M Pro4 - 399
Kingston 8GB DDR4-2400 X1 - 319
Kingston UV400 120GB - 276

Thanks. I already told him. He decided to do 2x16 of RAM. Maybe he'll put another 32GB in the future.
IDK what for, but he's weird like that, with RAM, LOL biggrin.gif Although he just play games, from what I know of.
For me, it's better with more CPU cores than more RAM. Love to see the cores and show my task manager to my friends.. Hehe..
Thanks for AMD I can experience the task manager full of cores.. smile.gif

Thanks... what if remove CPU and assume CPU I buy i5...

What is the best combo for rm1k and below ... important is stability first and then bang for buck secondary...

Mobo + RAM + SSD only... Plan to use built in graphics.. no external gfx

Thanks !
