zero ratling.
quiet as hell too.
no road noise, no rattle at all

Sorry to burst your bubble but... do a quick search on VW thread and you'll find rattling a consistent complaint there too laugh.gif My TC-P also don't have any rattling - and imho, no road noise & quiet as hell too.

Just did a calculation, in 42 months ownership, 1.5 Turbo will cost Rm916 for maintainance while 1.8 cost Rm2030.  How is this possible? I thought Turbo cost more to maintain.
*
You didn't include the engine oil + oil filter for the Turbo which has been decoupled from the normal periodic maintenance.

Car 10K 20K 30K 40K 50K 60K 70K Total
Type 6 12 18 24 30 36 42
1.5 RM250.30 RM302.03 RM336.81 RM468.86 RM250.30 RM400.24 RM250.30 RM2,258.84
1.8 RM218.78 RM270.51 RM305.29 RM422.46 RM218.78 RM368.72 RM218.78 RM2,023.32

*Change Oil filter every 20K / 1 Year for both 1.8 & 1.5 engines
*1.5 assumes engine oil change & periodic maintenance are concurrent

The difference is around RM31.52 only per servicing - and that's for the extra engine oil that's needed for the 1.5 engine...

Unless of course you need to change the engine oil often (A & B service) if your driving condition needs it...

Bro how u get rm250.30 for 1.5tc? I see from honda website is around rm200++ only include oil , filter and labour
*
You need to add the labour price for both periodic maintenance and oil change. Just follow the labour price for 1.8 - it's similar smile.gif the labour price for 1.5TC lacks for oil change labour,

hi,

Good Day !!

Im planning to buy a Honda Civic, but undecided 1.5 or 1.8.

i would like to understand on Fuel consumption of this machine.
*
If you have a light right leg and often drive long distances - 1.5TC is more frugal than 1.8. If you are a boy racer, the 1.5TC will burn the fuel like crazy, even more than the 1.8

hi,

appreciated your kind reply.

based on the article in the net for 1.5TC, claims 5.6L = 100km

is it true?

roughly for city driving, how many litters for 100km?
*

Is there any recommended car workshop to fix the parts gaping issues? Because looks like Honda won't honor the warranty claims for me.
*
Can you take a pic of the gaps? Normally if below 5mm gap, they won't do anything. Try going to other SC?

Dun see/feel that it's too large - can't see properly with the angle that you took anyway. Maybe you need to put a ruler or something to show the size.

Or do you actually mean panel alignment is off? As I said before, go to another SC - easier.

250km ?
mean you just get your car and going for first service at 1000km ?

I worry about this , as mentioned by my friend , JB area service center fully booked.
need advance one month to make appointment, for me 1000km can be done easily within 10 days .....

although i havent book the car yet  blink.gif
*
Depends on service area and you need to book early - I just booked my service date on 23 June laugh.gif

When I called Yong Ming JB, they told me earliest empty slot is 30 May... So, you need to book around 3 weeks early to be safe...

Thanks isr25 for the info.

im still actively reading. and seems that Honda likes to threaten ppl with void warranty if do this void warranty if do that.

having said glad to know so many happy owners based on what's being posted.

noticed everyone encounters minor issues with the car but still very much enjoying the ride. =)

btw.. i was thinking of doing service A & B together.. suppose to do A on the 17/6 but really hassle la if they make me go back 2 weeks after service B. can or not one a?
*
Err... You mean Service B + Periodic Maintenance right? Can. No problem at all. It's up to the owner to do whatever smile.gif

Service A - Oil Change only
Service B - Oil Change + Oil Filter only
Periodic Maintenance - check / replace / service other parts of the car.

not sure if the SC can deliver the new battery to me tml
*
Download app HIP Honda Roadside Assistance, or call HIP Call Centre at 1-800-18-1177
You can complaint battery problem there - they should come, test & replace
But if not under warranty - within 20,000KM - you need to pay for the battery cost

It should also be possible during weekends, coz my friend used that service during midnight at KLIA2 car park.

yep i tried that earlier today but they dont have stock for the battery. have to wait till tomorrow

btw, i should be HIP policy holder to claim from them right?
*
Aiya... Unlucky bro... Yes, you need to be a HIP Policy Holder to use their services - usually new car owner from Honda will be a HIP policy holder, unless they die2 wanna save money and get their own insurance policy biggrin.gif

Easier for me to use HIP, slightly expensive coz can't get the 10% discount if sign up elsewhere myself, but no betterment charges for up to 10 years, up to 5 years of 100% claim of car value if total loss, this HIP roadside assist any a few more benefits. Not worth to save 10% imho...

If you bought your car with Honda and insurance with them directly, it should be under the HIP package. If you bought insurance on your own, you're not.
