Is this normal that u cannot disable auto aircond by push it? I went to SC Bangi and they said no problem with it.

The only way to disable it is by pushing climate button and choose aircond speed manually
*
Disable aircond? You mean turn off aircond? There is an on/off slide thereon the left of the right temperature knob. Or if you mean you want to control the fan manually (or off aircond, but want the fan only), rather than auto, then yes, you need to press on the climate button.

What i normally do: just use auto, fan speed / aircond too cold, turn the temperature up. If it's too hot, turn the temperature down. Simple and easy.

Not turn off the aircond, but to disable the auto mode.

So it means we cannot disable auto mode aircond by pushing that knob but need to do it manually by pressing climate button.
*
Just do it once. Set it manually. Then turn on or off using the button beside the right temperature knob. Don't press the knob to turn on the aircond, or it'll go on auto mode and you have to set up manually again.

Or just do what i do as per my previous post. Lagi senang. Just control temperature and it'll adjust the fan speed accordingly - normally in the morning I set 22C, and in the afternoon I set 24C. The fan might be load when you first turn it on at those temps, but it'll quickly go down within a few seconds or 1 minute at the longest.

If you had bought the 1.8 or TC, the left temperature knob is replaced with fan speed. Our TCP has temperature knob on both left and right (Dual Zone airconditioning) hence the necessity of using the climate button.

Hi WOP owner,

Anyone have the solution or tips to protect this part from getting scratches? Maybe is not so obvious for other colors. [attachmentid=8605036]

Normal. I installed Honda's Door Protection Film to guard against this. It also comes with protection film on the door edges

QUOTE(ssyy @ Mar 19 2017, 11:32 PM)
Bought civic 1.5 tcp last november. Was totally surprised with the poor quality of modern honda car.

1) peeling clearcoat @ roof panel - fixed by SC with some questionable repaint quality (overspray & dripping)

2) uneven door paint rear RHS - fixed by SC. Acceptable quality

3) vsa clicking noise - not yet fixed

4) windshield rubber frame crack & torn causing wind crackling sound & possibly water leakage - this one really takes the cake. 4 months car, 7000km, 90% covered car park suffer from this issue. SC told rubber degraded. Warranty claim is quite hassle with long waiting period for replacement.

5) misaligned door - SC tried to fix by adjusting the rubber seal. But does not solve the problem at all. Still misaligned as if the car had an accident & had a bad repair job.

6) various rattle, creaks & odd noise in the car - can somehow live with it but.. Come on..

7) lots of dust trapped in the meter cluster - same above

8) twisted & inconsistent rubber seals around doors & trunk space - same above

disappointed & regret with the purchase. Never had this much problem on a brand new car before, not even a proton or perodua. Wondering if im expecting too much for a 130k car..
*
Sorry to hear about your problems bro. Can't do anything but go to the SC while under warranty. Dust trapped under meter cluster never heard yet, but VSA clickling noise they already accepted the complaint yet?

Regarding issue no.3, vsa clicking noise, what is it about?

I have this clicking sound always after start the car, but only like 3 to 4 click sounds, then no more liao. Is this an issue?
*
Clicking sound from the engine while driving is normal for direct injection vehicles. But rattling noise from VSA is totally different - normally when you drive on uneven roads - or driving fast on small yellow painted speed bumps on the road. It's a loud fast clicking noise - originating from below the steering wheel. Don't have the video but a few people posted on this thread. Try to search in previous posts / thread.

Hi all,

Good news! (I hope  smile.gif )

Honda has got the solution to the warm start grinding noise.

Here's the pdf file (This is my 1st time attaching a pdf file. Hope this works):-
[attachmentid=8632768]

Print it out and bring it to your SC.

The downside is that our CVT transmission has got to be opened up for this fix.  sad.gif
*
Thanks for the link! Last I had was a Thailand owner replacing the whole CVT (updated design) to fix this issue. But at least now we know what exactly was the problem, and know that it has no impact on reliability. will use this info to update the first page.

If the motorcyclist is at fault, make sure the police says it so in the report (and police summon the motorcyclist). Once that's done, no need to bother with claiming the motorcycle's 3rd party insurance, just claim from your own insurance under Own Damage Knock-For-Knock (OD-KFK). No impact to your NCD and less hassle.

Just ensure the police report sides with you.

Update from my Trusty salesgirl in Sumber Auto.  Honda Civic 1.5TC/TCP waiting list now 2 months.  Official Discount RM2100 only.  Anything higher than 4000 discount is buying time. They Hoping Raya got such discount.

Why 2 months waiting list.  She said 1.5TC engine donated / share with 1st batch new CRV.

Anyone can verify?
*
2 months not sure, but yeah, the new CRV will be using the exact same engine as ours

QUOTE(Newbie838 @ Apr 12 2017, 10:19 AM)
Anyone encountered this? I'm wondering if it's normal or is there a problem.

I depress the brake pedal then start the car. If I don't release the pedal and press again, it won't allow me to release the handbrake. It's almost as if it doesn't register the brake pedal being depressed. I've only noticed this yesterday. Usually I'd start the engine, release the brake pedal to adjust my seating position, then press again to drive off.

Also, when shifting from reverse to drive with the brake pedas depressed, I can feel a "click" like feeling in the brake pedal. Also just noticed it yesterday.

Any thoughts?
*
I normally press the brake pedal fully, start the engine, release the parking brake and drive off. But I noticed the behavior you listed above if I had started to slightly lift the brake pedal -
still pressed, but not fully pressed.

In those situations, I normally just leave the parking brake engaged, wear my seatbelts properly, and press on the accelerator pedal - the car will automatically disengage the parking brake, and drive off biggrin.gif Of course, I can also just press the brake pedal again, and disengage the parking brake, but sometime I just let the electronics do the job.
