Totally agree. Even if a car is tuned to have optimal performance with RON97, usually the power difference is minimal, like 2-4% more power than RON95.
Even if your typical teh tarik is sweeter than usual by 2-4% than usual, how can you know the difference if no one were to tell you? Shiok sendiri is most likely the effect.
If high performance turbo cars then the difference would be more noticeable because you can run higher boost, hence can make much more power. But for NA cars, you only get a bit more advanced timing hence the power increase is marginal. Like my Mark X, spec sheet says can run ron95-98, so by right optimized for 98 but when I compare 95 and 97 practically no difference so I just run 95 lah, why waste money. Other Mark X guys in the club are adamant must run 97 cuz they claim much more powerful but when go touge with me, macam sama saje! šEven if your typical teh tarik is sweeter than usual by 2-4% than usual, how can you know the difference if no one were to tell you?
