QUOTE(isr25 @ Mar 28 2018, 08:44 AM)
Final forecast - it's a whopping:
RON95 ▲ 10 sen to RM2.30
Diesel ▲ 9 sen to RM2.27

Fuel up soon boys and girls.

In any case, I'm retiring the CME calculation and using the AIP Daily method from tomorrow onwards.

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jan 11 2019, 09:15 AM)
The current RON95 price is RM1.93 and RON97 is RM2.23 which was announced on Friday 4/1.

Jan RON95 RON97
2 RM1.78 RM1.92
3 RM1.85 RM1.99
4 RM1.93 RM2.07
7 RM1.97 RM2.11
8 RM1.91 RM2.05
9 RM1.93 RM2.07
10 RM1.96 RM2.10

if calculating 31/12 to 4/1 cycle (Monday-Friday previous week), RON95 should be around RM1.85, and RON97 should be around RM1.99
if calculating 4/1 to 10/1 cycle (Friday to Thursday), RON95 should be around RM1.94, and RON97 should be around RM2.08 (as of 10/1)
if calculating 7/1 to 11/1 cycle (Monday to Friday current week), RON95 should be around RM1.94, and RON97 should be around RM2.08 (as of 10/1)

My estimate, they will be announcing that either RON95 price will remain, or go up/down by 1 sen, and RON97 should go down by 15 sen.

Let's see what they will be announcing this evening, then we can estimate how are they calculating.

Calculation and table of estimated price can be found at this link: https://goo.gl/cpYiBN

If calculating 7/3 to 13/3 cycle (Thursday to Wednesday - weekends are using Friday prices), RON95 should be around RM2.23, and RON97 should be around RM2.53.

However, since they announced that RON95 will be capped at RM2.08/l, my estimate, that they will be announcing that RON95 will maintain at RM2.08 and RON97 price will go up by 7 sen to RM2.53 (±1 sen).

Does every petrol stations here using the same Euro grade? And how do we know what Euro grade that the petrol brand using?

Malaysia minimum is euro 2. gomen are pushing for euro 4 in these few yrs. Only in Johor and some stations in Malaysia need to be euro 4 for diesel as sg has a rule that lorries to use euro 4 to enter SG country

Most important if you want and are environment friendly
Car pool
public transport
if both can't and need to use car, do not upgrade your exhaust or removed the catalyt converter as it filters those polluted gasses before going out to the air

QUOTE(isr25 @ Mar 19 2019, 02:43 PM)
All RON97 fuel in Malaysia is EURO4M compliant, and all RON95 fuel in Malaysia is EURO2M compliant - no matter what brand of fuel you are using. If you have any proof that they are not complying, you can make a report to KPDNKK. All other fuel types (Shell V-Power Racing & Petron RON100) are at least EURO4M compliant.

There are a few types of Diesel available, either EURO2M (Black hose) or EURO5M (Blue hose). The price difference between the 2 is 10 sen.

EURO4M is more environmentally friendly compared to EURO2M due to the significantly less sulphur content. Other countries such as Singapore are already using EURO6 fuel.
