Already performed my 1st service at 800 KM. Do you drive in highway often?

yea man mrr2 everyday ampang to sunway about 80% highway 20% city.

Mine is after 5000 only start saving fc

Mine is 90% city drive. That probably explains it lol

where do u normally drive? kl? fuel consumption will be bad no matter what car u drive if its city driving. U shud consider a hybrid car for ur next car

i have done my first service but fc is always < 10km/litre. is this an issue?

Got mine on 3rd April 2017.
Current mileage at 2,600km

Change rim & tyre 195/55/15 immediately after taking the car but fine that the car still wobble when overtaking at speed above 140 km/h so art UR 16mm ARB and front top Stabilizer bar.

Change tyre again after 3 days from Dunlop Formula D05 to Toyo DRB for fun.

For my case, I realize FC improve after 1k km, then 2nd improvement at over 5k km... I have just done 10k service, let's see how it goes after this

5w 30 is thinner oil, thus lighter for the engine which means more responsive and better FC too

For lubricants since I'm no enthusiast, I only notice differences between lighter and heavier oil... another factor to determine their quality is how well they cover your mileage, does the oil turns black quickly before hitting required service mileage and how the engine sounds... quiet or noisy.

This is my first attempt on 5w 30 Syntium SE 800... let's see how it goes, I do feel the car feels "lighter"
Could be placebo effect too since I've been driving the new Forester lately


Boss262 Good news pal, so far they solved my wind noise after 80km/h... so far tried till 100km/h still quiet

Remember last time I said the aircond recirculation thing don't work anymore after they solve the aircond odor? The SA told me because last time they put a sponge to block external air intake because foul smell comes from there... so now to me its more like solving my problem by disabling other feature of the car... so I can't draw air from outside anymore unless I request them to do so...

So far, another RM0.00 bill

wow nice! does it make a huge difference when u add the stabilizer bar? this gen proton persona high speed stability abit floaty one but overall i drive max also 130km so no problem for me

The bars definitely improves the stability, no floaty when overtaking around 140 km/h

So far I'm satisfied with the original setup as I'm no enthusiast.. 140km/h was ok to me, so far only stretched to 160 and still acceptable to me... never try beyond that yet as many said unstable, compared to myvi, my ok speed was till 120km/h only... beyond that will boost my adrenaline

found it. i was looking in the thick manual which doesnt mention about the radio.

There is seperate manual book for the Radio, should have pack up in the same package with other manual. Yours premium?


Holy hell, need to turn off that function completely. Mine doesn't have that foul odor, maybe because I rarely use my aircond . But anyhow you solve everything, including the annoying wind noise. Basically you own a perfectly manufactured proton car even though you overcome a few hurdle leaving your car twice at the SC. I my self too lazy to send my car and leave my car for few days

you replaced it with higher radius tyre?
