Got mine on 3rd April 2017.
Current mileage at 2,600km

Change rim & tyre 195/55/15 immediately after taking the car but fine that the car still wobble when overtaking at speed above 140 km/h so art UR 16mm ARB and front top Stabilizer bar.

Change tyre again after 3 days from Dunlop Formula D05 to Toyo DRB for fun.

wow nice! does it make a huge difference when u add the stabilizer bar? this gen proton persona high speed stability abit floaty one but overall i drive max also 130km so no problem for me  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

The bars definitely improves the stability, no floaty when overtaking around 140 km/h

Did the road noise reduced with the new tire significantly?
*
From Dunlop formula d05 to Toyota drb = more quiet because toyo Drb tyre is softer, can feel by using my finger to press on the tires.

btw...did u guys upgrade 16inch tyres once u get the car ??
*
for me i change to aftremarket 15" rim and better tires.
reason for me not to upsize the rim is due to cost of 16" and 17" is too costly
i do a lot of travelling so economical +good brand tires is critical for me.

Dear All New Persona owners,

I would like to ask if any one of you have installed 4-1 extractor (to remove the catalytic converter)?

What are the pros and cons?

Additional UR Bar added - complete set now.
ARB only 16mm, should have gotten the 19mm instead.😔
Remark :
Money worth spending.
Handling of the car improved a lot and no more floating experience like a boat hitting waves😁
Please enjoy the photos below

will this become an excuse to void warranty?
*
Dunno leh and dun care😁

For me, I only care about warranty to the cvt gearbox so bar installation is not related to gearbox.

Better don't mod anything including change bulb outside if bulb is burnt (go back to proton to change better) or change carpet (just use the original carpet), who knows later whole car void warranty....😝😝

I am looking at this for my next tyre.

*
From my 20 years experience, I would recommend to stay away from these 2 brands,
Silverstone - sidewall crack easily
Goodyear - expensive but wear out very fast

My experience with goodyear is quite ok. Used their UHP tyres (Asym 2), very satisfied.
Silverstone always not my choice.
Used Michelin PS3, performance slightly lower than goodyear assymetric 2 but price a lot cheaper than goodyear, but still provide excellent grip.

When i choose tyres, i don't choose those treadwear over 320.  To me, a tyre wear out faster = grip the road better, safer.
This goodyear tyre has a treadwear of 320, not very high.

All right👌

IIRC, I saw some one mentioned his Persona became smoother after changing to fully synthetic engine oil? Currently using Petronas semi syn 10W30. Felt draggy. Will try fully syn for my next service.
*
I advised to use fully synthetic oil because it does not thicken after long interval of usage while semi sythetic and mineral engine oil thickens after certain mileage (when it thickens, fc higher and wear and tear for internal engine parts also higher because thick oil can't circulate fast enough).

I would advise to get the iRoad V9 if you guys have the budget. It's 1080p.

This brand quite well known in Singapore.

What is the new player are you using now?
*
I just change to a China brand player called "CrimeFighter".
Full android system operate just like a mobile phone and able to download directly from Play Store.
Sound quality improves a lot, better clarity and deeper bass ( 8"underseat woofer).
China player seems to have stronger built in amp compare to branded player like Pioneer, Kenwood or Sony. This enabled them to produce better sound quality without needing to add amplifiers.

Cons :
- Have to cut radio aerial connector as it have different jack.
- Lost of front parking function - never use before

* need to buy smaller USB thumbdrive 😁😁

Reverse parking still functional?
How much total for this?

I am guessing by changing the HUD, warranty related to electronic is voided?
*
Reverse parking still functional.
RM750.00

On the warranty, should be only void anything related to HUD only.
If Proton wanna void other electronics warranty like ECU, I will let them settle the dispute at tribunal court😁😁
