Went for first 1k service yesterday at Puchong Jaya SC:
1. Complaint dashboard noise: left the car for 1 day there for them to install the IP noise kit. But result is same, not fixed.
2. complaint GPS no satellite signal: branch SC don't have software to calibrate sdcard(?), just ask me go to HQ
3. complaint passenger door has knocking sound when closing: not fixed
4. finally the only complaint they managed to fix: broken number plat light bulb

conclusion: better go to HQ for major issues/complaints, those branch SC is good only for normal oil change I guess.

The new engine still using time belt instead of timing chain?


From all the Persona drivers here, is it worth buying the Persona?
In spite some of the complaints?

Can it be compared to the Perodua Alza?

Ya, it's stated in the leaflet 5yr free service and parts is worth RM4k++, that's why I complained to the sales agent, why rebate is less than 50% of the value.
I guess it's their way of encouraging ppl to go service at Proton SC.

I take the 5 years service if I were you, like this won't be cheated by SC. You know how vampire like SC can be, can chop kaw2. Plus, you won't be bringing any money come to sc

Campro VVT has an interval of 120k before changing the timing belt. You're comparing 2 different segment. Why not alza and ertiga?

The system detected I'm using fully oil at 1k service, given choice to choose syntium 800 free, syntium 3000 +rm60, syntium 5000 (5w 40) +rm130. SC puchong jaya, brought my own helix ultra last time bought at tesco but the guy say not allow. Normal city drive 5w 30 more fuel safe but drive long distances and frequently drive at hot day use thicker 5w 40 for more protection.

U can choose the free oil than change your own helix ultra oil urself.

no premium cvt. this is the most laid back driving style i tried 80-100km/h on highway.

Ya ho..but so wasteful lah like that. Proton service center so expensive lah, I say my car need tyre balancing the SA say need to top up labour fees rm59 not including gst... Tyre shop outside 50 bucks can do balancing + alignment 4 tyres ady.

wa siao liao la seems like they cant seem to fix the dashboard rattling. my one rattle quite loud when driving on bumpy road

Mine is not very loud but zzzzz sound, I could ignore it by turning up the music volume. Will try shah alam hq when going to fix the GPS.

Oh... then sounds like they have also switched our free oil from the 10w 40 to 5w 30 automatically too? Let's see what they'll pour into my engine
