1200 km. Normally reach how much mileage only will the fc improve ah?
*
For my case, I realize FC improve after 1k km, then 2nd improvement at over 5k km... I have just done 10k service, let's see how it goes after this brows.gif

QUOTE(paganizonda @ Apr 23 2017, 02:27 PM)
whats the difference between 10w 40 and 5w30? My sc use shell helix h7 10w 40 haha which one is better the shell one or petronas
*
5w 30 is thinner oil, thus lighter for the engine which means more responsive and better FC too

For lubricants since I'm no enthusiast, I only notice differences between lighter and heavier oil... another factor to determine their quality is how well they cover your mileage, does the oil turns black quickly before hitting required service mileage and how the engine sounds... quiet or noisy.

This is my first attempt on 5w 30 Syntium SE 800... let's see how it goes, I do feel the car feels "lighter"
Could be placebo effect too since I've been driving the new Forester lately

Boss262 Good news pal, so far they solved my wind noise after 80km/h... so far tried till 100km/h still quiet thumbsup.gif

Remember last time I said the aircond recirculation thing don't work anymore after they solve the aircond odor? The SA told me because last time they put a sponge to block external air intake because foul smell comes from there... so now to me its more like solving my problem by disabling other feature of the car... so I can't draw air from outside anymore unless I request them to do so... cry.gif

So far, another RM0.00 bill thumbup.gif

Got mine on 3rd April 2017.
Current mileage at 2,600km

Change rim & tyre 195/55/15 immediately after taking the car but fine that the car still wobble when overtaking at speed above 140 km/h so art UR 16mm ARB and front top Stabilizer bar.

Change tyre again after 3 days from Dunlop Formula D05 to Toyo DRB for fun.

The bars definitely improves the stability, no floaty when overtaking around 140 km/h

Watch out, we got a badass driver here brows.gif

So far I'm satisfied with the original setup as I'm no enthusiast.. 140km/h was ok to me, so far only stretched to 160 and still acceptable to me... never try beyond that yet as many said unstable, compared to myvi, my ok speed was till 120km/h only... beyond that will boost my adrenaline

diversity someone removed the engine cover for you to see tongue.gif

anyone that took 5 years free services..can someone upload the service schedule and what free service included in each service?

i kind of thinking that free labour is only for a few times only..after that we need to bare the cost of labour.

-sorry for bad english-  whistling.gif
*
The early adopter got 3 years free service with parts, including semi synthetic oil. The 5 years service would probably be the same since proton claim savings of up to rm4k.. Next thing have to find out is what lub they gonna give for this 5 years service

There is seperate manual book for the Radio, should have pack up in the same package with other manual. Yours premium?
Holy hell, need to turn off that function completely. Mine doesn't have that foul odor, maybe because I rarely use my aircond  brows.gif . But anyhow you solve everything, including the annoying wind noise. Basically you own a perfectly manufactured proton car even though you overcome a few hurdle leaving your car twice at the SC.  I my self too lazy to send my car and leave my car for few days  console.gif
*
No la, not all solved yet, still have the last very minor rattling noise suspect from the headunit I didn't tell them, it was ok to me..

Honestly, so far I am quite satisfied with the SC as they attended all my minor problems with solution, I expect them to ignore my issue by giving excuse like "its normal" or "could not spot problem" I can confirm this proton SC is miles better than Perodua if you try go through Axia thread, after complained their SA just say could not spot such noise and just ignoring the problems, I've seen quite a few member already gave up and live with those noise. rclxm9.gif

the dashboard rattling sound really getting more and more serious, especially at the front passenger side. Anyone goes back to SC to get it fix? And does SC really fix it?
As i know need to put a few days in the SC to let them dissemble the dashboard.
*
Can be fixed at SC but need leave car for 3 days atleast and a free car wash brows.gif

Or you can fixed by installing one of these Dashboard Rubber Seal Instrument Sound Insulation between the gap in dashboard, so far haven't got complaints after installing it by other members, cheap cheap RM20 +

i previously own a proton saga blm
omg.... the car petrol like water pipe XD

If comparing to Saga BLM, this New Persona will save more fuel compared to BLM, but if u wanna challenge those EEV like Vios, City or Bezza, can't beat them... Still it depends on your right foot as this car will make u vroom vroom more resulting in bad FC

With an unfair comparison, its much better than the new Subaru Forester, this I can confirm, but that's an SUV with about 1.6 tons weight and 2.0L Engine

haha what means FC?
not sure cause i driving an old 24 years old civic
plan to change car
but budget not more than 80k
*
FC = fuel consumption

if u driving an old 24 years old civic, this Persona VVT's FC will definitely better than your old civic, unless u become more aggressive after switching to this car...

if u have budget not more than 80k, you can consider either City or Persona. Test drive them to have the real comparison. If u want reputation, it has to be imported car then... Vios in my opinion just not worth it... its safety is not up to par compared to Persona and City...

Seems like I'm the only one who put car in SC to let them solve all those little thing... by the way I've been expecting these or I'll feel uncomfortable for not having a proton went in SC to solve atleast something icon_idea.gif

Remove catalytic converter you will send your emissions straight to the atmosphere polluting the environment. Catalytic converter is to reduce these emissions. So you are harming your children's future. So be a responsible adult.
*
Yes.. one of the reason why Persona Engine can't perform like CPS is because of emission standard on this VVT is Euro 4 compliance compared to CPS only Euro 2 compliance, the Performance and FC have something to do with these catalytic converter...

I won't recommend doing that as it makes more harm than good for your little own gain
