Hi Guys,
I am in the process of upgrading my TV and also adding an Android Box..
I am looking at a Samsung UA55K5300A its a 2016 Smart TV for around RM 2600.i was planning on just a normal LED non smart TV but with the prices so low for the Smart sets its hard to resist.
Will a smart TV still work ok together with a box such as Minix U9-H,or would it be easier to just use a non smart tv?
I have read every post on here but any advice most welcome thanks!

Hi guys,
anyone having problems with MXQ Pro 4k's wifi connectivity? It seems that i'm getting a connection failed whenever I try to connect via wifi. Anyone tried to update it's firmware?
Perhaps interference... Tried using it closer to the router and still facing connectivity issues? Could also be an issue with the router, perhaps a quick reset is in order.

Ok sounds good thanks,
Would it be worth upgrading to a 4K TV at the same time? Anyone had experience with that plus an Android Box?
IMO, getting an older yet excellent 1080p display trumps an entry-level 4K TV and even more so a Samsung 5 series set... *Shudders....

Will you benefit from an entry-level 4K TV? Yes, however do remember that majority of the content out there is non-4k. So the benefits will only arise from how good the panel is and the upscaling engine.
Nevertheless, 4K TVs are the rage now and frankly, dirt cheap. So depending on your budget, spring for...at minimum a series 7 and above.. Maybe can get away with mid-series 6. The Minix Neo U9-H, so far is more than capable to push 4K content onto the big screen. Question is, can you source for 4K content and if so, better have at least 30 - 50Mbps (free) speeds.. The more, the better.. Then there's Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, etc.. Most smart TVs have their respective apps and it's easier to launch and navigate using them.
Lastly, do not forget about sound.. Excellent visuals need to be matched with awesome sounds too... My two cents..
