I see .. the screen line is longer by the time you replied . the warranty is no longer valid . How much does the screen replacement cost ?

if you dare to replace it yourself, it is less than RM200. if u go to any apple authorised service center, it will be more pricey.

The original one at the Apple store will cost you almost the same value of your phone, and third party repairs will cost you about RM400 or so. It's cheaper to DIY if you have the know how.

Well, it's slated to launch by the end of this month, but Covid19 threw a spanner into the works laugh.gif I guess we'll just have to wait patiently and see.

Oh, and speaking of the dreaded virus,

my 6S has been officially declared non salvageable. battery drain like water. Took too ITWorld. thought battery change would do it. after thorough check they said not battery (since new one has same issue) but motherboard so replacement price RM1600 about there. not worth.
damn. love the phone. compact and sensibly has a headphone jack.
anyone here can recommend any fix/ place to fix this?

I think you can buy a 2nd hand or a refurb one for cheaper

Maybe can try doing a restore/ DFU restore via iTunes, who knows it’s a software glitch

Considering that a brand new iPhone 8 starting price is rm2199 or wait for the new iPhone(with no headphone jack)

I'm having the same problem with an old iphone 6s plus, which previously had a black screen, unable to turn on, so I decided to send it to repair last week after sitting inside my drawer for two years, took them 3 days to fix the freaking screen, they told me that the phone backlight was out , had to replace 6 sticks of it, and needed to change some IC to make it working, they also replaced my camera, which i didn't know it had problems before, but nonetheless ok la not very expensive. cost me about rm400 to fix the backlight ,screen and camera, still worth it la i thought for a 6s plus kan.

But then, when i tried charging the phone after collecting the phone from the shop, the phone gets very hot and the battery gets depleted like super fast, one minute it's 100% the next minute 91%. but the battery health is showing 82% health in the battery settings.

Does yours do the same too?

Just keep as spare phone lor like me, i already changed to note 10 plus, keeping this iphone 6s plus as spare phone for surfing and stuff.. but a bit regret leh spent almost rm400 to repair but overheating and battery drain issue.. sigh..

Tried erase and restore didn't help also, most likely motherboard / cpu problem i guess?

For me the easiest way is by google photo, if internet are not a problem for you la (utilizing wifi). Somemore I being using both android and ios so any cross platform apps are my priority.

its the same as those battery replacement, probably just a name brand for the battery, nothing outside of apple is legit. DIY at yor own risk.
