Yeah, we're all waiting at this point:)
I think it's done for bro. Maybe look for a pre-loved one?
thought about it but decided no

I think you can buy a 2nd hand or a refurb one for cheaper
Maybe can try doing a restore/ DFU restore via iTunes, who knows it’s a software glitch
Considering that a brand new iPhone 8 starting price is rm2199 or wait for the new iPhone(with no headphone jack)
IT World did all what you said. they did a restore then changed the battery but still same issue.should I try restore on my own?and
yes all the rest and upcoming no headphone jack! bloody hell they should have left it alone! now all the others are following suit. Lame a## companies! make fun of Apple then do something and worse.

I'm having the same problem with an old iphone 6s plus, which previously had a black screen, unable to turn on, so I decided to send it to repair last week after sitting inside my drawer for two years, took them 3 days to fix the freaking screen, they told me that the phone backlight was out , had to replace 6 sticks of it, and needed to change some IC to make it working, they also replaced my camera, which i didn't know it had problems before, but nonetheless ok la not very expensive. cost me about rm400 to fix the backlight ,screen and camera, still worth it la i thought for a 6s plus kan.
But then, when i tried charging the phone after collecting the phone from the shop, the phone gets very hot and the battery gets depleted like super fast, one minute it's 100% the next minute 91%. but the battery health is showing 82% health in the battery settings.
Does yours do the same too?
well mine no parts changed. was working well until 2 months ago then this battery issue started. battery health I remember was about 98%
oh well maybe time to say goodbye. if try to sell won't be worth much.
