QUOTE(David83 @ May 1 2019, 05:25 PM) Govt bonds downgraded by DBSPETALING JAYA: DBS Research has downgraded Malaysian government bonds to “neutral”, even as the local debt papers rank as the third-best performer among Asian emerging markets year-to-date. In a research note issued yesterday, DBS Research attributed the rating downgrade to Malaysian government bonds’ rising valuation and mounting risk. Read more at https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...hwICh6h3Pv97.99 This is definitely bad news for the market. I wonder if market will react to this tomorrow?

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ May 31 2019, 10:04 AM) So many warning bell ringing recently. Maybe its a good time to lock in profits. Even got talk about possible recession coming in the next 2 years. Yes with all the talks of recession kicking in next year, recent events have done nothing but solidify that prediction.

QUOTE(roarus @ Jun 1 2019, 10:41 PM) Thanks! However, I'm looking for Malaysia specific equity funds to keep an eye on for now. Wondering if the recommended by FSM are still Eastspring Investments Equity Income and Kenanga Growth KGF is pretty low now. Most of us who bought in last year or two years before should be in red now.

Anyone knows when is the next promotion for sales charges for FSM? Thinking of topping up but if the next promotion date is close I might hold out for a bit.

QUOTE(MUM @ Jun 27 2019, 07:37 AM) what an early morning news.... Trump: China needs trade deal as economy 'going down the tubes' On Wednesday, the president strongly indicated he was ready to slap tariffs on all remaining Chinese imports -- more than $300 billion worth. "You have another $325 billion that I haven't taxed yet -- it's ripe for taxing, for putting tariffs on," he told Fox. According to Trump, it's China that's feeling all the pain. https://www.bangkokpost.com/world/1702368/t...-tubes#cxrecs_s Oh well, lets see how the Asia market will react by 10am.... This trump is really a pain in the ass. While everybody is anticipating good news in G20, he says something that is detrimental to the entire cause.

QUOTE(voyage23 @ Jul 2 2019, 09:06 AM) Buying ManuReits now isn’t it a classic case of chasing after the high? If you think it will go up further there's no wrong in buying. Same concept applies in buying stocks. Would you buy a stock that is in their 52 weeks high, or a stock that is at its 52 week low? For me, I will always go for stocks that are in the uptrend.

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Jul 2 2019, 05:42 PM) People like to think they know how to judge a value stock/fund But most people cant. Coz its damn hard to see value in my opinion. Else everyone is Warren Buffet already I myself still dont know how to do it. Yes I do agree and it is just my opinion. Everyone's way of trading is different, just do what you feel is the right way of doing it.
