how does this relates to suggesting using ONLY CIMB GCEF as short term or as a speculation tool and not the other 2 funds?

Managed Portfolio Updates:

Portfolio Period -->  31 May 2017 - 30 June 2017
Gross Gain      -->  0.44%
Actual Gain      -->  0.44% + 1.31% (sales charge+GST) = 1.75%  brows.gif

There is something wrong with this maths.

Gross gain is gross gain. Actual net gain has to MINUS the sales charge and GST instead of PLUS !

Try to rub shoe also pick something more sensible !

rclxub.gif mr. funnyface your actual / nett gain should - (sc + gst) instead of add in to it.

looking into your aggressive  portfolio just merely small gain, think back i was right not to opt for manage portfolio.

anyway thanks for the sharing.

To be fair, one or two months are just too short to see anything.

I am not looking at my/investor perspective, rather to show the performance of the Funds selected by Managed Portfolio.

Of course from my/investor perspective, the gain is only 0.44%.  wink.gif

maybe i should put

"My" gain = 0.44%

"funds" gain = 1.75%

Okay I understood what you are saying now. The confusion comes from the word "gross gain". You should say that as the net gain, whereas the fund gain is the gross gain. Anyway peace, just a terminology problem.

But I think you can get reliable and accurate answer faster through official channels instead of through a bunch of amateur investors (I'm referring to myself  tongue.gif ) especially when you are a platinum member. Though really I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve with the 2nd part of your self introduction there

Do update the kacang investors like me here after you got an answer  thumbup.gif

Reminds me of Johnson Lee the "founder" of JJPTR. He is 28 yo also. And he is male too. He probably has a number of auntie followers, that's why such information are important. devil.gif

is he a star manager? should we as investors be concerned of his whereabout?
accumulating 750k by age 28 on one's own effort is not impossible.
very rare but doable. don't be surprised that some 28yo earns 500k a year.
wished i earned that much when i was younger...

*
Johnson Lee earns more than that at the same age of 28yo.

Johson Lee is gonna have a short life. The investors will put a contract on his head and he will be snuffed-out in prison ... after the ass-raping part of course.

I think his followers see these kind of comments as sour grapes. Actually most subscribers knows what it is all about before going in. When things becoming bad, then quickly stand on the side as victims.

The fund Affin Hwang Absolute Return Fund II is already removed from FSM, if not mistaken. So apparently everyone just went for the lunch and nobody signed up after that. devil.gif But I think his objective was to mentioned that it was an exclusive lunch talk with high net worth individuals.

I think he/she meant.
.....did Interpac funds showed a good manager skill is very important?

btw, it is also equally good to compare by trying to look at the past fund house(s) records of the performance of the funds that was managed by that FM too....not just the current one.
*
Maybe we can read it differently ? During his time in RHB, it was a bigger team, and now he is in Interpac, the team is small, the current performance would mostly be his single handed effort ? devil.gif

Another thing is possibly the lower costs structure or expense ratio ? I just checked, it is much lower compared to fund such as EI small cap.

This is exactly what I am thinking as well. After deduction of the personal loan interest, still can achieve 12% pa return? Further more there is nothing so call guarantee % out there. I wonder that method can sustain after a big hit.  hmm.gif

He was already saying for the first half of the year 2017, he already made 20% return from his UT investment. Did you not get it, or I missed read it ?

Why ask some more if that's the right vehicle ? Quickly check out his recipe and start cooking !

There was a distribution. You accounted for it already ? This reminds me of someone what saying Affin Hwang select bond is correlated to TA global tech. It seems quite true. brows.gif
