Hi sifus,

I just purchased my first 2 UT fund as I managed to get 0% SC (Affin Hwang Select Asia ex Japan Opportunity & Eastspring Equity Income) @ RM1,000 each

My question is, should I continue a regular investment plan and leave the portfolio at 50/50 or is it better to be more focused onto one fund instead?

Thanks icon_question.gif

so now 10% warrants a look but not a buy. next two years u will say 20% worth a look and consider buyijng but not buy for sure. don't think you will be buying anything then seems like. Look, not like we want to kecam you for your decision making but the way you put yourself since 2 years ago is that 10% is a good time to buy, hoping for bear market all the time and when you get a whiff of it, you tell us no money to buy. why so NATO? if you either NA or no talk so loud, we won't question you so much la.

but it is the internet in the end. i can say a lot of things and dont need to be responsible for anyway. it's ok to say you dont do unit trust, that you are trolling around here. but news of you buying is so hot everyone wants to know when you buy and wat you buy.

hmm.gif looks like he has till Dec to plunge in no matter what the % of rises/falls in PRS funds...if his tax benefits is > than his intended Nav

Rm3k memang allocated for PRS. The question is when to buy. I am aiming for it to fall back to my original entry price or way below. A 5% drop from my entry price would be a sweet deal and I memang have no problem buying then. A drop to my entry price will warrant a look.
....
*
but if the PRS nav is not at below 5% drop from your previously bought price....between now till Dec...would you still buy for the tax benefit?

ok bro, come out now, declare what you will do when what market conditions happen. then we pin it, and let us discuss about it in some other time. We are mature people, we will take it all whether right or wrong. We ask you to do this because you shown a lot of confidence in the market conditions to the point you said China WILL lose the trade war, not MIGHT, or HIGH POSSIBLITY.

So back up your words with a statement and we will pin it up as the 4-5 commandments of ramjade. Then when we are ever in doubt, we will refer to that.

nan...I think if when the shit really happens....he will say...moving to SGD is the better option then...

you can obtain the fact sheets from uob website.
the allocation part 100% cash for the latest version
*
saw it...suspect error in data compilation....
it is against the prospectus and fact sheet on the asset allocation to be maintained....

looks likes the charts of UOBAM Target income fund 8 & 9 is ok

but looks like the charts of UOBAM Target income fund 6, 7 & 12 have some error in data compilation

I too found an interesting data chart....

some may look at the data from the BLUE and RED columns to make decision

some may look at the data from the BLUE and GREEN columns to make decision

i guess it does not matters which colors are used.......for it is your own decisions and your own money.....
which one will be correct?....only historical data from the action taken will determine which one is correct. innocent.gif devil.gif

Wild Ride in Markets Driving You Up the Wall?

Are Markets Making you Sick?
Investing can be a mentally stimulating excursion. At once a highly regimented art form deeply rooted in technical analysis & financial theory, but also reliant on gut feel, grit and plenty of gumption.

So when markets vault and fall, some investors can get overwhelmed and be swept away by the volatility.

Studies have shown that stock market volatility has a direct correlation to increased hospitalisation rates and incidences of mental health disorders.

A research produced in 2014 which tracked hospitalisation health records close to three decades (1983 – 2011) found that daily fluctuations in stock prices has an almost immediate impact on the physical health of investors, with sharp price declines increasing hospitalization rates over the next two days.

In a chilling example, on October 19, 1987 otherwise known as Black Monday, the US stock market plunged by over 25% which led to hospital admissions spiking by over 5% on the same day (Source: “Worrying About the Stock Market: Evidence from Hospital Admissions” by Joseph Engelberg and Christopher Parsons, University of California- San Diego, October 2014).

Sounds alarming, but that’s what the data shows.

However, the important lesson here is that whilst markets are bound to recover and benchmark gauges will recoup their losses, your health may take a turn for the worse and deteriorate beyond the normal course of recovery. sweat.gif
