QUOTE(piscesguy @ May 21 2019, 03:32 PM) Same lah. I use that board too. So far so good. The only thing I dont like is the sata port placement when using my RX 580, only 2 slots are available as the others were blocked by the card.

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ May 25 2019, 01:33 PM) Hey all. For those using Ryzen 5 2600 (without the X), what is the normal temperature that you all get when you are gaming? With only normal fans and room temperature (no air cond in the room). Sames goes to your GPU? What is the average temperature you all get? I googled it and most of the answers come from colder countries where they are able to maintain lower temperate naturally, but how about in the tropical country? 65-70 though sometimes up to 75 on stock cooler. I'm using wraith prism now (2700x cooler) and gain temp drop 55-60. Max 65. GPU usually on the 60s. This post has been edited by aliesterfiend: May 25 2019, 05:33 PM

QUOTE(tongaz86 @ Jun 16 2019, 11:44 PM) Is it worth it to upgrade my stock wraith stealth to wraith spire for R5 2600? Or better just go for aftermarket cooler. Prefer air cooler. I'm using wraith prism bought from a forumer for quite cheap and can maintain temp below 70c when OC to 4.0. On auto OC (usually runs 3.75-3.8) temp usually around 55c. Not sure how much you can gain with wraith spire buy shoukd be a bit better than wraith stealth. Good thing about wraith coolers are the fan blows down instead of sideways like most after market coolers. This help to cool the board vrm too.

Anyone wants to 'reserve' my 2600? Planning to sell it around RM500 if I upgraded to R5 3600. 😁

QUOTE(choonyink @ Jul 14 2019, 11:18 PM) Is Ryzen 3600 and 3700x going to make a substantial difference in terms of gaming? So far the benchmarks that i saw are showing a small average FPS differences. There is about RM550 price gap between the 2. Is it better off investing a good AIO into the 3600 and push to its maximum potential than buying a 3700x with stock cooler? I think manual overclocking no longer matter for ryzen. My 2600 running 3650Mhz with stock wraith spire but runs 3750Mhz with wraith prism. I can run stable OC to 4100Mhz but there's no difference in gaming, maybe an extra frame here and there. Of couse when doing syntetic benchmarks you can see different bigger numbers but in terms of actual gaming there's not much different. AIO is if you want to do manual OC and post the benchmark scores for bragging rights but I think you can only go as fast as 4300Mhz with Ryzen 3600 which is not that different running on stock and let the auto overclock does it thing.

QUOTE(goldfries @ Jul 17 2019, 12:17 PM) Just come and try out 3rd generation Ryzen processor 3600 and 3700X. I also got the RX 5700 with me. Prepared 4 rigs already. Latest news is that AMD has generously provided me a Ryzen 3 3200G for lucky draw prize. If you have Total War 3 Kingdoms installed I might drop by. 😁

I decided to skip on 3rd gen. Main concern now is to replace my GPU. Waiting for nitro+ version of 5700 or 5700xt.
Maybe if got budget later then upgrade to 3700 or 3800x but I may wait for zen2+ since I dont think upgrading from my 2600 will bring much unless I replace the GPU.

See some videos showing that disabling SMT on 3600/3700X increase performance on some games. I wonder if it's the same on 2600.

QUOTE(shirohamada @ Jul 25 2019, 08:32 PM) No, you set the highest clock and voltage of pstate0. Cool n quiet will still work. It works on my gigabyte and made my 2600 base clock 3.9GHz. The voltage menu is not even asking the voltage. They ask in hexadecimal (gigabutt) Huehuehue. Assrock is in base 10 steps without value guides. If you key in 26 it's 1.3125v. If you key in 48 it's 1.1v. How to set the voltage in the bios? I can run base clock for my CPU at 3.8 without changing the voltage setting but 3.9 will not boot. I can go 4.1 with ryzen master though with voltage 1.4 but theno hovering around 80c. 4.0 is better with voltage at 1.325 and temp around 70c.
