Just tested, max core clock will be lower if put 99% from 4.3GHz to 4Ghz for my 3700X..
But i dont see any temp drop for both idle and stress 100%..

But I disabled the PBO, significant drop 3-5'c for idling, good enough already.

Upgraded my CPU cooler to Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Capellix..

Temp about to settle down at 70'c under Prime95 stress test. However, the clocks speed for the 3700X only at 37xx mhz when im doing stress test. Is this consider normal? hmm.gif

I doubt VRMs are toasty given the mobo in your signature. Is the CPU only at stock clocks?

Technically your 3700X is within spec here, it's advertised all-core speed is 3.6GHz after all. Try enabling PBO2 or setting a manual all-core overclock.

Ahhh..i should try to enable back PBO since I got AIO now.. notworthy.gif
