I've had a few sticks of RAM from Intel time, when use on Ryzen it won't even run at default, let alone tune the timings.

One was my Avexir kit, I can't remember what's the other but if I'm not mistaken it's HyperX.

My response was to SSJBen though, die die won't even boot let alone can touch settings.

From my experience with Zen and 1st gen boards is no go no matter what, that's why the AMD sticker came about because people did have a difficult time getting things to work.

I don't have very high speed 4000MHz kit, the problem is I can't maintain similar levels of latency to compare.

My kit can do 3733 CL14, 4000MHz CL14 is no go. 4000MHz CL16 won't even be low a latency as 3733 CL14.

Haven't tested la. Memory part I want to go more detailed but may not be as detailed as what nrw wanted but yeah, weekend activity. hu hu.

I think mine is 4000 CL18 to be stable, so that's 9ns vs 7.5ns on 3733 CL14.

I prefer it to be closer, though truth be told I likely won't see any difference on most benchmarks. LOL
